Math: Students received their new math textbook/workbook and then talked about the Birth Announcement Project. It will be due next week. Start collecting the things/information you need for the project.
Pre-Algebra: Students talked about names and watched a video about math magic.
Science: Students finished comparing the rocky planets with focus on habitability. Then students began exploring the surface of Mars using Google Mars. No homework.
English: Students learned about memoir characteristics today. Students have a 6 Word Memoir due on Friday. Students have an expectations contract and a movie parent permission form that needs to be signed and returned by 8/27. They also received an "All About Me" paper that needs to be completed by tomorrow, 8/20. AR is due October 15th.

MATH STUDENTS who have missed school: Go to the website embarc (click here or go to Mr. Sanny's website for the link) and navigate to the module and lesson you missed. You can watch a video of someone teaching that lesson. The book they use might be slightly different than ours, but it should be pretty close.
