Math:  Students took a mult fact quiz and learned a trick, we then finished up going over lesson 1.  Students were to get as much of 1-10, 12 and 15-21 done in class today.  Some time will be given to finish it in class tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:  Students received their week 2 vocab words.  We will just have a spelling quiz over the words on Friday.  We then jumped into our new books and looked at lesson 1.  Students may have homework.

Science: Students learned about GMOs (genetically modified organisms) or performed a DNA extraction lab using their own method. Students have received a DNA study guide. Use your DNA notes to complete your study guide. Study! The DNA test will be this Friday, November 3rd.

English:  Students took a sentence structure pretest. Vocabulary activity due by Wednesday on Google Classroom. AR is due on December 15th.


7th Period English: Students learned about capitalization. There's some quill activities they need to complete for tomorrow. “I” memories are due on Friday. AR is due on December 15th.


Geography:   Today students took notes over Traits of a Culture. We also went over the answer to the study guide. Population test will be November 2nd.

English:  Scholastic Scope story "The Great Bird Poop Disaster" read together in class. Vocabulary activity due by Wednesday on Google Classroom. AR is due on December 15th.

Geography:   Today students pondered "What If" questions that help introduce Culture. Students were handed a study guide last week. Population test will be November 2nd.

Math:  Students turned in their vocab activities and then took the spelling quiz.  We then switched out workbooks and watched some videos exhibiting hard work and practice.

Science: Students performed a strawberry DNA extraction. There are a set of questions on Google Classroom that you should complete. Students have received a DNA study guide. Use your DNA notes to complete your study guide. Begin studying. The DNA test will be Friday, November 3rd.

English:  Students watched Rikki-tikki-tavi and went over our tests. AR is due on December 15th.

Science: Students completed a packet called "DNA and Protein Synthesis: The Making of an Organism" using instructions found on Google Classroom.  If you didn't finish, more time will be given in class tomorrow.

Math:  Students went over the quiz over lessons 2-1 - 2-3 and then practiced estimation.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:  Students went over the two 2-5 activities and then practiced estimation.

Science: Students took a quiz over osmosis. Students had time to finish their Osmosis Lab #2. Turn in this lab report when you are finished.

English:  Students started Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. Students have a TDA that is due today and their Scope summaries are due on Monday.

7th Period English: Students learned about simple sentences and compound sentences. They have a short worksheet that is due on Tuesday. Scope summaries are due on Tuesday. TDAs are due today. "G" memories are due today.

Geography:   Today students completed a test over Water Resources, Landforms, and Climate. They also handed in their climate zone map. These will both be the first grades for 2nd quarter.

Science: Students performed a lab to study osmosis. Complete the Google Form on Google Classroom called "Osmosis Practice #1" by the end of today. There will be a test over Osmosis this Friday.

Geography:   Students had some time to work on their climate map. It is due tomorrow before the test. A copy of the climate map is on Google classroom to help them finish it. We also took some time to review for the test tomorrow. We have highlighted in our notes all week what are big topics on the test. A study guide to help guide study time is on Google classroom. Please assist them in studying and offer some tips and tricks that you used growing up in school.

Science: Students completed their lab conclusion. Complete Osmosis Practice #2 by the end of the day. There will be a quiz over diffusion and osmosis this Friday.

English: Students wrote a TDA in google classroom over the teeth article we read in class yesterday. It is due on Friday.   AR was due TODAY.

7th Period English: Students learned about simple sentences. Students’ TDA is due on Friday. AR is due today. “G” memory is due on Friday.  AR was due TODAY.

Geography:   Today students finished up notes over Climate vs Weather and started on our Climate Zone maps. The students have a test over Landforms, Water Resources, and Climate on Friday. Science:  Students learned about diffusion and osmosis. They got to observe osmosis using red onion and a microscope. No homework.

Consider finishing your project at home or after school if you aren't close to being done. Your Quizlet flashcards are due tomorrow in class - use your study guide to complete your cards. A study guide has been handed out. A test over cell parts and functions will be given this Friday, October 13th. Study!

Math:  Students took the quiz over lessons 1-5, 1-7 and 1-9.

Pre-Algebra:  Students worked on lesson 2-2.  Students may have homework.

Science:  Students continued viewing cells from the various kingdoms using a microscope. They also got to observe their own cheek cells. Students were also introduced to the Cell Model Project. Bring supplies on Monday. A study guide has been handed out. A test over cell parts and functions is planned for Friday, October 13th. Study! 

English: Students learned about adverbs and received a short worksheet over it. Students received their TDA Take-Home Quiz. Corrections are due on Tuesday. AR is due on October 18th.

7th Period English: Students learned more about adverbs and received a short worksheet over it. Students received their TDA Take-Home Quiz. Students can make corrections and turn it by Tuesday to receive full points. E memories are due today. AR is due on October 18th.

Geography:   Students continued playing a game applying Latitude and Longitude. Ask them how it went! :)

Math:  Students went over lesson 1-9 and are to complete problems 4-6, 8, 10 and 12.  We will have a quiz over lessons 1-5, 1-7 and 1-9 on Friday.

Pre-Algebra:  Students worked on some online activities on pearsonrealize.com.  Complete them by 8:30 am tomorrow.

Science:  Students viewed cells from the various kingdoms using a microscope. Students sketched at least one observation from each kingdom (except Archaea). A study guide has been handed out. A test over cell parts and functions is planned for Friday, October 13th. Begin studying! 

English: Students took the verb test. Students received their TDA Take-Home quiz. Corrections are due on Tuesday. Worksheets 1-10 were due today. AR is due on October 18th.

Math:  Students went over lesson 1-7 and are to complete problems 5-9 and 12-15.  We will have a quiz over lessons 1-5, 1-7 and 1-9 on Friday.

Pre-Algebra:  Students finished Lesson 2-1. Students may have homework.

Science:  Students learned about the structure of bacteria, plant, and animal cells. A study guide has been handed out. A test over cell parts and functions is planned for Friday, October 13th. Begin studying! 

English: Students studied for their verb test. Verb test is tomorrow. Please study! Worksheets 1-10 due tomorrow AR is due on October 18th.

Math:  Students took a mult fact quiz, went over lesson 1-5 and are to complete the online 1-5 MathXL problems for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:  Students jumped into Chapter 2. Students may have homework.

Science:  Students learned the jobs of the parts of a cell. A study guide was handed out. A test over cell parts and functions is planned for Friday, October 13th. Begin studying! 

English: Students worked on their study guides. Study guides are due tomorrow. Several students got it done in class. Verb test is on Thursday. AR is due on October 18th.

7th Period English: Students reviewed verbs and received their "A" memories back. Verb test is on Wednesday and all Verb Wksts 1-10 are due tomorrow. Start studying! E memories are due on Friday. AR is due on October 18th.

Math:  Students went over the quiz about Mr. Sanny.  We then looked at adding and subtracting rational numbers.  Complete problems 4-10 in lesson 1-5 for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:  Students took a quiz about Mr. Sanny.  We then looked at some cool videos that show how planning, hard work and practice (and being kind to others) affect outcomes.  No homework.

Science:  Ecology tests were handed back. Then students began learning about cells. No homework. 

English: Students learned about infinitives and gerunds. Students received a short worksheet. Several students got it done in class. AR is due on October 18th.

7th Period English: Students received a study guide to work on. It's due tomorrow. Verb test is on Wednesday. Start studying! E memories are due on Friday. AR is due on October 18th.

Geography:   Students reviewed latitude and longitude by working on a worksheet. We treated this worksheet as the study guide for Wednesday. Wednesday we will have a short quiz. Homework tonight is to study and finish working on the worksheet.
