Science- Started the lung capacity lab. Will continue this activity on Wednesday. Science current event summary articles are due April 1st, THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE.
Math - Students went over 7-1 homework, discussed Burger King deals and went over and assigned homework from 7-2.
Pre-Algebra - Students went over the quiz and went over KPS Assessments. No homework.
English -- Today we read chapter 1. Finish reading if you need to and complete the character chart. Vocab quiz will be on Monday. Homework is to finish the vocab page. We will begin reading tomorrow. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind in your AR.
GEOGRAPHY - Culture Fair presentations all week. **Students have signed up for days/times to present starting March 30th. They are expected to be there for their presentation time.**

Science- Did an activity that taught us about homeostasis-the ability's ability to maintain a stable internal environment. Science current event summary articles are due April 1st, THIS IS NOT AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE.
Math - Students checked 6-11 Homework. Assessed the homework and turned it in. Introduced Chapter 7, Geometry. Worked on recognizing patterns. Assigned 7-1 bookwork (pg 288, #1-3 & 6).
Pre-Algebra - Students went over lesson 7-8. We wrapped up Chapter 7 with a short quiz. No homework.
English -- Today we began our "Outsiders" unit. Chapters 1-2 vocab was assigned. Vocab quiz will be on Monday. Homework is to finish the vocab page. We will begin reading tomorrow. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind in your AR.

English -- Today we watched a video on the 60's as an intro to "The Outsiders" unit. We also began reading about the author and will finish it on Monday. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind in your AR.
GEOGRAPHY - Worked on Culture Fair presentations today. We will work on them all week. Friday March 27th is the last day students will have class time to work on their presentation. We will begin presenting the presentations on March 30th. Students are recommended to purchase a presentation board (Hobby Lobby, any color, I think they are on sale as far as I know), but they are able to work on a powerpoint; which ever works for them. **Students have signed up for days to present starting March 30th. Science-Finished and went over the respiratory stations activities. Thursday 113.
Math - Students went over 6-7 assignment. Reviewed Fraction to Decimal to Percents. Discussed 6-9 in finding missing information from a fraction to a percent. Assigned a worksheet.
Pre-Algebra - Students graded the 7-6 homework. We then went over lesson 7-7 and assigned homework from that lesson.
English -- Today we finished reading "Ribbons". Complete the packet tonight. We will have time tomorrow to finish the plot line in class. A quiz over "Ribbons" will be tomorrow. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind in your AR.

Science- Finished the air pressure activities.Started the respiratory system station activities that we will finish Wed. Class all week is in Lab 113.
Math - Students went over assignment and checked for understanding. Recovered 6-5, covered 6-6 and introduced 6-7, all discussing interactions between F-D-P (Fractions-Decimals-Percents). Homework is from 6-7.
Pre-Algebra - Students graded the STP problems and went over 7-6. Complete the homework from 7-6 for tomorrow.

Math - Students took a mult fact quiz, went over the quiz from last Friday and then discussed lesson 6-5 and were assigned the homework from that lesson.
Pre-Algebra - Students went over the homework from 7-5. For homework - students worked on the Standardized Test Prep on page 354 and were also to complete problems 27, 28 and 30 on page 358.
English -- Today we finished our writing assessment. It is time to start working on AR points for 4th term. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind.

Math - Students went graded yesterday's homework and discussed best buys and unit rates.
Pre-Algebra - Students went over the skills you need for chapter 7 and were assigned homework from lesson 7-1.
English -- Today we began our writing assessment. We will finish it tomorrow. Be thinking of details you may want to include in your description of a person you will remember for a long time. It is time to start working on AR points for 4th term. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind.

Science -Analyzing our healthful survey. Tuesday 3rd period is in the media center, the other periods are in 119.
Math - Students went over the metric measurement quiz and discussed lesson 6-1. Complete the homework for tomorrow.
Pre-Algebra - Students went over last week's homework and worked on the skills you need for chapter 7.
English -- Today we went over last week's writing, continued preparing for the writing assessment tomorrow, and began a new story for this week. It is time to start working on AR points for 4th term. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind.
GEOGRAPHY - Studied for the test. Test is Tuesday, March 10th. Homework for tonight is to STUDY!! The jeopardy game will be on Moodle for you to use.

Science - Media center on Monday. Thursday we took a survey on how healthy are behaviors are.
Math - Students measured aspects of their body, read excerpts of The Da Vinci Code and saw how their measurements related to the number Phi.

English -- Today we finished practicing for next week's writing assessment. Third term AR points were due today. Get started on your points for 4th term over the weekend.
GEOGRAPHY - Took vocabulary test section 2. Complete our passport activity. Review questions for test are on Moodle. Student were given a hard copy of the review questions today in class. Homework this weekend is to begin studying the review questions.

Math - Students took a mult fact quiz and went over how to convert metric measurements. The worksheet and book work will be due tomorrow. We will take a metric conversion quiz tomorrow.
Pre-Algebra - Students went over 6-7 and were assigned some practice problems.
English -- Today we discussed differences between the story and movie for "Rikki Tikki Tavi". Be reading your AR book because points are due in 2 days.

Science - Lab 113 on Tuesday. Test over the circulatory/cardiovascular system on Tuesday. Review the blue circulatory system stations paper, your white sheet review, and there is a review on my Moodle site. Science current events are due Wednesday.
Math - Students went over the quiz from Friday, went over current (and pretty much final) grades and went over how to convert metric measurements. Some classes got to the homework and some did not. We will continue metric conversion tomorrow and take a quiz on Wednesday.
Pre-Algebra - Students went over 6-5 & 6-6 and were worked on problems. Finish them for tomorrow.
