Science: We did skits to check for understanding of the digestive system.
Math: Students took a GST and reviewed key concepts for the "TIZ" for tomorrow. ALL ZEROES MUST BE TURNED IN TOMORROW TO GET CREDIT.

Science: Continued the digestive system by receiving information about the function of the parts of this system. Tomorrow we will do skits to check for understanding.
Math: Students turned in the vocab activities, took the vocab spelling quiz and then went over lesson 4-9. We will have a test on Thursday over most of chapter 4 - it will be a 4th term grade.
Pre-Algebra: Students took a test over most of chapter 5. No homework.

Math: Students tied up loose ends, discussing the possible field trip and then played BINGO with a focus on important vocab terms. No homework other than be working on your vocab activities. They are due Tuesday as well as the quiz over the words on Tuesday also.

Math: Students worked out a few more countdown to testing problems, then reviewed for the quiz. There is a moodle quiz online to give you more practice. We will have a quiz over measurement on Monday.

Science: Shape of cells activity to incorporate the concept of diffusion.
Math: Students went over questions on 4-3, talked about Roman Numerals and the received a packet that needs to be completed for tomorrow. We will have a quiz over 4-1 - 4-3 on Wednesday. Log on to Moodle to take a practice quiz.
Pre-Algebra: Students graded 5-1 & 5-2. We then discussed Roman Numerals and started discussing what to look for in order to get the best buy at the store.
English: Poetry vocab: alliteration; tweentribune.com- blog on at least one article; Type poems! Type 2 diamonte poems.
Geography: Chapter 6-Mexico! Introduction to Mexico's History and the station activity. Homework: None.

Science: Finished the respiratory system stations and we did group skits to review how we breathe and how the circulatory and respiratory systems work together to bring oxygen to cells.
Math: Students graded the 4-2 homework, took a GST mult fact quiz and then looked at how to get the best deal at the store using rates. No homework.
Pre-Algebra: Students took a pre-quiz to see what they know about the material in chapter 5 (Mr. Sanny forgot that we had to stuff portfolios yesterday).
English: Spelling test today!! Keep working on AR points!
Geography: Chapter 6-Mexico! Sec 1 guided reading worksheet. Map Study activity in class. Pol/Phy Maps due today. Homework: Mexico Maps if not completed in class.

Science: We reviewed how we breathe. *Remember when we inhale, the volume in our chest increases, which drops the pressure, so air rushes out of our lungs. To exhale, the volume in our chest decreases, which increases the pressure, so air is forced out of our lungs.* We then read the article, "Into Thin Air: a U.S. scientist climbs mountains to study how people adapt to high-altitude living." Then we filled out the front and back of an activity page over the reading. The activity page is at the start of Science tomorrow, Thursday Feb. 2nd.
Math: Students graded the Are You Ready problems, then discussed lesson 4-1. Complete the problems from that lesson for tomorrow.
Pre-Algebra: Students went over the Pythagorean Theorem quiz. Students then worked on finishing the rest of the Are You Ready problems for tomorrow.
English: Intro Image poems. Two poems due tomorrow. Checking all poems so far & spelling journals today! Work on AR points!!
Geography: Chapter 6-Mexico! Map Work continued. Pol/Phy Maps due Friday. Homework: Mexico Maps if not completed in class.
