Math:   Students took the Formative Assessment over lessons 1-9, 1-10 and 1-11 and also a short "show your work" quiz.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students took the Formative Assessment over Chapter 1.  No homework.

Science: Students took a test over the parts of a cell.  No homework.

English:  We learned about helping. They have a short worksheet as homework. If students would like to improve their noun/pronoun quiz, they need to fill out a request to retest and have it done by today. 

7th Period English: Students learned more about helping verbs. They have a short helping verbs worksheet as homework. If they would like to improve their noun/pronoun quiz, they need to fill out a request to retest and have it done by today. 

Geography:    Today we wrapped up the Latitude and Longitude practice and caught up on current events. We will have a Latitude and Longitude QUIZ on October 5th over Lat and Long. No homework!

Math:   Students took a mult fact quiz, graded the chapter test practice problems and did a Kahoot! review.  No homework.  We will have a Formative Assessment over lessons 1-9, 1-10 and 1-11 TOMORROW!

Pre-Algebra:   Students had work time to work on problems from chapter 1 study guide.   We will have a Formative Assessment over Chapter 1 TOMORROW.

Science: Students finished presenting their Cell Analogy Projects.  Students have a study guide.  The test is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 28th.  Study!!!

English:  We learned about linking verbs. They have a short worksheet as homework, but many students got it done in class. If students would like to improve their noun/pronoun quiz, they need to fill out a request to retest and have it done by Wednesday. 

7th Period English: Students learned about linking and helping verbs. They have a short linking verbs worksheet as homework. If they would like to improve their noun/pronoun quiz, they need to fill out a request to retest and have it done by Wednesday. 

Geography:    Today we continued on our Latitude and Longitude unit by taking notes and working through some practice. We will have a Latitude and Longitude QUIZ on October 5th over Lat and Long. No homework!

Math:   Students went over Lesson 1-11.  Complete the following homework for tomorrow.  RTGO? page 56: 13-25, Study Guide: Review page 62:  42-53 and the C.T. on page 63:  31-33 and 35-43.  We will have a Formative Assessment over lessons 1-9, 1-10 and 1-11 on WEDNESDAY.

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over lesson 1-9 and then discussed 1-10.   We will have a Formative Assessment over Chapter 1 on WEDNESDAY.

Science:  Students had their 2nd workday for the Cell Analogy Project.  Projects will be completed in class this week.  A study guide has been handed out.  The next test will be Tuesday, September 27th.

English:  Students took a quiz over nouns and pronouns. They turned in their nouns/pronouns packets. I handed back their TDA Take Home quizzes. If they would like to improve their grade, they can take a new take home quiz and redo it to get a better grade (due Monday).

Math:   Students took a practice quiz to get ready for the Formative Assessment, which is tomorrow.  It is over lessons 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, 1-6, 1-7, 1-8.  We then reviewed for the FA.

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over the worksheets from Friday.  We then covered 1-7, complete the homework tomorrow.

Science:  Students either filled out their study guide and made flashcards or learned about the Cell Analogy Project.  A study guide has been handed out.  The next test will be Tuesday, September 27th.

English:  Students took notes over demonstrative, interrogative, and indefinite pronouns. Students will need to do PN 3, 5, and 6 to do as homework. There is a quiz over nouns and pronouns on Wednesday. Please start studying! 

7th Period English: Students had a review day over Nouns and Pronouns. There is a quiz over nouns and pronouns on Tuesday. All worksheets are due tomorrow as well.

Science:  Students continued working on the Cell Model Project.  Bring materials for making a cell model, if desired, but this is not required.  Mrs. Eidem will provide materials for making cell models.  No homework.

English:  Students took more nouns notes. 3rd and 9th period have nouns worksheets 1-4 as homework. 6th period received homework (nouns worksheets 4-6).

English:  Students took a nouns/pronouns pretest, and they started notes on nouns. Students received a TDA take-home quiz, and it is due on Wednesday. Use your notes to help you!

7th Period English: Students learned more about nouns today. They have 3 nouns worksheets to do as homework for tomorrow. They had a take-home quiz over the TDA as homework, and it was due today.

Geography:    Today we continued to apply our skills from the Parts of a Map unit. We made and created our own maps. Maps are due tomorrow at the beginning of class. Ask your student if they finished their map for tomorrow. Test over Parts of a Map will be Friday.

English:  Students reviewed how to write quotes and paraphrases in mini-TDA's. Students received a TDA take-home quiz, and it is due on Wednesday. Use your notes to help you!

7th Period English: Students took a nouns/pronouns pretest. We started nouns notes. They have a take-home quiz over the TDA as homework, and it's due on Tuesday. Use your notes to help you!

Math:   Kids talked about money, went over lesson 1-2 and then discussed lesson 1-3.  Complete the homework from 1-3 for tomorrow.  BA is due FRIDAY at the beginning of class.

Pre-Algebra:   Kids talked about money, went over lesson 1-1 and then discussed lesson 1-2.  Complete the homework from 1-2 for tomorrow.  BA is due FRIDAY at the beginning of class.

Science:  Students observed cheek cells and onion cells (set up by Mrs. Eidem) under a microscope, and corrected their sketches in their science notebook (if necessary).  A study guide was handed out last Friday.  Students will not be able to fill out #8 on the study guide because we still have more to learn before the test.  Only work on one side of the study guide, leaving the other side blank.  The test will be Friday, September 9th. 

English:  Students did a text-evidence activity in class. Students were required to number their pages in their composition notebook for today. If they forgot, they may do it for tomorrow.

Math:   Kids took a mult fact quiz.  Mr. Sanny showed kids how to cover their text books.   The BA project will be due Friday August 9th.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Kids took a mult fact quiz.  Mr. Sanny showed kids how to cover their text books.   The BA project will be due Friday August 9th.  No homework.

Science:  Students observed cheek cells and onion cells under a microscope, and made some sketches in their science notebook.  A study guide was handed out.  Students will not be able to fill out the study guide completely because we still have more to learn before the test.  Only work on one side of the study guide, leaving the other side blank.  The first test will be Friday, September 9th. 

English:  Students learned more about the Mini Text-Dependent Analysis today. We turned in the 6 Word Memoirs. Students are required to number their pages in their composition notebook for Tuesday.

Geography:    Today took the Continent and Oceans TEST! No homework and enjoy the holiday!

Math:   Mr. Sanny showed kids how to figure out how to do the rest of the math parts on the BA.   Students should have all information and can begin making the birth announcement.  The project will be due Friday August 9th.  We then went over lessons 1-1 and 1-2.  Students received a purple paper that has ALL HOMEWORK PROBLEMS for 1st Term.  Complete the homework from lesson 1-2 for tomorrow.  Bring BIG BROWN PAPER BAGS for book covering tomorrow.
