Math: The students took an assessment that had concepts from the 6th grade math curriculum.  Don't forget the Birth Announcement needs to be turned TUESDAY!

Pre-Algebra:  The students took an assessment that had concepts from the 6th grade math curriculum.  Don't forget the Birth Announcement needs to be turned TUESDAY!

Science: Students took a test.

English:  Today we didn't turn in our End Marks packet like planned. We ran out of time. Students journaled in their composition notebooks, turned in their capitalization worksheet, and took an online interactive quiz. No homework.

Geography: Students handed in their Continents and Oceans Maps and took a test over Continents and Oceans.  No homework.  Have a great weekend.

Math: The students took another mult fact quiz, we went over the rest of the Birth Announcement math problems.  It can be turned in tomorrow, but will need to be turned TUESDAY!

Pre-Algebra:  The students took another mult fact quiz, we went over the rest of the Birth Announcement math problems.  It can be turned in tomorrow, but will need to be turned TUESDAY!

Science: Students finished their cell drawings.  Study guides were handed out on Monday.  Test Friday - tomorrow!

English:  Today we reviewed comma use, semicolon, and colons. Students are asked to complete pg. 153, 157, and 159, and 161 in their End Marks packet. Most students finished it in class but some have it as homework for tomorrow. Quiz tomorrow over capitalization and punctuation. Study!

Geography: Students finished up on the their World Map Activity.  Study guide for the test will be their notes.  Test over Continents and Oceans will be Friday.  Homework tonight is to STUDY!!!!!

Math: Mr. Sanny talked about big numbers and then showed kids how to find how many days and seconds they are.  We then used chromebooks to check out important websites in math class.

Pre-Algebra:  Mr. Sanny talked about big numbers and then showed kids how to find how many days and seconds they are.  We then used chromebooks to check out important websites in pre-algebra class.

Science: Students created an animal and plant cell drawing.  Study guides were handed out on Monday.  Test Friday.

English:  Today we reviewed exclamation marks and comma use. Students are asked to complete pg. 147, 149, and 151 in their End Marks packet. Most students finished it in class but some have it as homework for tomorrow.

Geography: Students finished up discussion on Continents and Oceans and started on the their World Map Activity.  Study guide for the test will be their notes.  Test over Continents and Oceans will be Friday.

Math: We went over the homework, took a practice multiplication fact quiz and then went over how to find out how many days old the kids are.  We will continue working through more of the math examples from the project.

Pre-Algebra:  We went over the homework, took a practice multiplication fact quiz and then went over how to find out how many days old the kids are.  We will continue working through more of the math examples from the project.

Science:
​Students finished taking notes over the structure and function of cells.  We also watched a couple of videos.  Students received a study guide yesterday.  Test on Friday.

English:  
​Today we reviewed capitalization and punctuation. Students were asked to do the back page of their capitalization worksheet (pg 93) and to do the first and second page of our end marks packet as homework. Most students were able to get it done in class. Quiz on Friday.


Geography: 
Students took notes over Continents and Oceans.  The study guide for the test will be their notes.  Test over Continents and Oceans will be Friday!

Math: Mr. Sanny had to miss school.  Students worked on many problems from the Skills Bank section in the back of the book.  If you were absent contact another student for the problems or see Mr. Sanny when you (and he) get back.

Science:
​Students participated in an activity demonstrating cell structure determines cell function. 
​Students received a study guide today.  Test on Friday.


English:  
​Today we reviewed capitalization and we also completed the front side of a worksheet (92- A, B, C).  Most students finished the worksheet in class, but if they did not they will need to finish the worksheet at home for homework.  Short quiz over punctuation and capitalization Friday.


Geography: 
​Students 
 ​finished their textbook scavenger hunt.   Introduced Continents & Oceans.  Test over Continents and Oceans will be Friday!

Science: On Wednesday students learned how to use a microscope. Today students looked at cheek and onion cells using a microscope. No homework.

English:  Today we learned how to write a journal entry. Students participated in group project to come up with a solution for a problem. No homework.

Geography: Students checked out textbooks, covered books, and worked on a scavenger hunt using the textbook. In the morning we MAP tested.  No homework and have a great weekend.

English:  We had a library day! Students got a tour of the library, were able to check out an AR book, and begin reading that book. No homework.

Math: Mr. Sanny practiced names and introduced important people in the room.  We checked out books, went over how to log on to the textbook website and students were asked to come up with two true things and one lie about themselves.

Pre-Algebra:  Mr. Sanny practiced names and introduced important people in the room.  We checked out books, went over how to log on to the textbook website and students were asked to come up with two true things and one lie about themselves.

Science: We began discussing the difference between living and non-living things. No homework.

English:  Students reviewed our routines for our classroom. We did a "get to know your classmate" activity. Our only homework is to bring a composition notebook and the Expectations Contract signed by the student and parent by Tuesday.

Geography: We completed a "get to know you activity." No homework.

Math: Students were given a tour of the classroom.  We went over names and some expectations.

Pre-Algebra:  Students were given a tour of the classroom.  We went over names and some expectations.

Science:  Classroom procedures and expectations were discussed. Then students participated in a getting to know you activity.

English:  Students were introduced to our classroom. We went through our expectations and I gave them a expectations contract that the student and a parent needs to sign. The students need a composition notebook to leave in class. Both the contract and the composition notebook are due on Tuesday.

Geography: WELCOME BACK!  Students were introduced to the course and each other!  No homework.
