Students started the day attending the talent show in the morning.  They then went through the schedule quickly and celebrated the very successful food drive by watching a movie in the afternoon.

7th Period English: Students watched the Giver movie.

Geography:  Today we continued watching Remember the Titans Looking ahead-  We will start North America when we come back from break!

Math:   Students worked on estimation strategies.  No homework. 

Pre-Algebra:   Students watched Donald Duck in Mathemagic Land.  Tomorrow we will work on estimation strategies.

Science: Students discussed lesson 4.3 from our Phase Change unit, where we discussed the 3 claims about the malfunctioning oxygen machine. We also played Kahoot to review for tomorrow's test.  The grade earned for the Scientific Argument for Phase Change can be corrected, but corrections are due no later than today, December 18th by 4:00 pm. The test over our Phase Change unit is planned for tomorrow, December 19th. Use the mid-unit assessment (lesson 3.4) as a study guide. There is also a Quizlet on Google Classroom.

English:  Students did a text structure google form over Amelia Earhart, and they took a quiz over it.

7th Period English: Students watched the Giver movie.

Pre-Algebra:   Students reviewed the $1.5 Billion project and looked at Good Buys. Complete the $1.5 Billion project by Thursday, December 12th at 8 am.

Science: Students completed lesson 3.4 from our Phase Change unit, where students took the mid-unit assessment. The Scientific Argument for Phase Change has been assigned on Google Classroom and is due tomorrow Wednesday, December 11th by 4:00 pm. The test over our Phase Change unit is planned for Thursday, December 19th. Use the mid-unit assessment as a study guide. There is also a Quizlet on Google Classroom.

English:  Students are typing. If they didn't get their paper typed, it is homework. We are doing peer revisions on Thursday. Research papers are due on December 16th. AR is due December 17th.

Science: Students completed lesson 3.2 from our Phase Change unit, where students learned about how phase change is determined by a tug-of-war between molecular attraction and kinetic energy. The Scientific Argument for Phase Change has been assigned on Google Classroom and is due Wednesday, December 11th by 4:00 pm. The test over our Phase Change unit is planned for Thursday, December 19th. We haven't taken the mid-unit assessment yet, but after we do, it will serve as a study guide.

Welcome to the Team 7-4 Daily Blog

Math:   We discussed the importance of practice. No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   We discussed the importance of practice. No homework.

Science: Students completed lesson 2.1 from our Phase Change unit, where students learned the relationship between temperature and freedom of movement. The test over our Phase Change unit is planned for Thursday, December 19th. We haven't taken the mid-unit assessment yet, but after we do, it will serve as a study guide. 

English:  Research was continued. All research should be done. If research is not done, students need to do it as homework. AR is due December 17th.

7th Period English: Students took a quiz over Ch. 1-5 in the Giver. Students need to read Ch. 9-10. There is a quiz over Ch. 6-10 on Tuesday. AR is due December 17th. "M" is due on Friday.
Geography:  Today students took a small amount of notes over Africa (Africa Daily Life) and then compared American (Kearney) Daily life with a student from a country in Africa. Political and physical maps for Africa are due today at 4:00. There is a PDF map on Google Classroom to help for work at home. Looking ahead- The maps will be due on Monday, December 2nd for 50 points. The Africa test will be December 13th.

**Also, just a quick reminder to help your student's charge their chromebooks at home.
