Math:   Went over homework from 4-8. Went over section 4-9. Formative Assessment for 4-8 to 4-10 will be on Friday. Homework.

Pre-Algebra: Students took a plicker quiz on the 6-1 homework. Learned section 6-2. Homework tonight.

Science:  Students took some more notes over the respiratory system.  We also learned how the diaphragm helps us breathe using a model of the respiratory system.  No homework.

English: Today we talked about our projects. We have a quiz tomorrow and study guides are due tomorrow.

7th Period English: Students presented their Tuck projects and we started the movie. 

Geography:  Students took a test over the North America unit today! No homework!

Math:   Students went over the questions missed on the previous test. Went over section 4-8. Formative Assessment for 4-8 to 4-10 will be on Friday. Homework.

Pre-Algebra: Students took the Chapter 5 test.

Science:  Students took notes over the respiratory system.  No homework.

English: Vocab was due today. We finished reading Tuck Everlasting. There will be a quiz on Wednesday and study guides are due on Wednesday.

7th Period English: Students presented their Tuck projects.

Geography:  Students had some time to work on their study guide in class and ask questions. We then ended the period with a Jeo-pardy study game. The study guide was handed out to them Thursday of last week for the North America test. Test is tomorrow- 101 points. Encourage them to work through the study guide and STUDY!!

Pre-Algebra: Students took the Chapter 5 test.

Science:  Students took a test over the circulatory system.  No homework.

English: Students read Ch. 22-23 in class. Students have a vocabulary activity as homework that is due on Monday.

7th Period English: Students worked on their Tuck projects. Projects will be presented on Monday.

Geography:  Students practiced Student Led-Parent Teacher Conference procedures, stuffed PTC folders, and checked grades. A study guide was handed out to them Thursday for the North America test on Tuesday, January 31st. Encourage them to work through it and study!

Math:   Students went over the homework from 4-4. We then reviewed for the  Chapter 4-1 to 4-4 test which is tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra: Students reviewed for the Chapter 5 test which is tomorrow.

Science:  Students reviewed for tomorrow's test by playing Kahoot.  A study guide has been handed out and the test will be tomorrow: Friday, January 27th.

English: Students had a quiz over Ch. 16-21 and a literature circle. No homework.

7th Period English: Students worked on their Tuck projects. Projects will be presented on Monday.

Geography:  Students participated in an activity that demonstrated supply and demand. Ask your student how it went today. A study guide was handed out to them today for the North America test on Tuesday, January 31st. Encourage them work through it and study!

Math:   Students went over the homework from 4-3. We went over section 4-4. Homework for 4-4 is due tomorrow. We'll review Wednesday and Thursday. Chapter 4-1 to 4-4 test is Friday.

Pre-Algebra: Students stuffed portfolios and went over the 5-7 worksheet.  The Chapter 5 test will be Thursday.

Science:  Students learned about their pulse and circulatory system wellness.  A study guide has been handed out and the test will be this Friday, January 27th.  Remember to return your signed blood typing permission form, if you are interested in participating in this opportunity (optional).  Blood typing will happen Wednesday, January 25th.  

English: Students read Ch. 18-19 in class. Students can work on their study guide to #14 in the after you read.

7th Period English: Students finished reading Tuck Everlasting today. We will have a quiz tomorrow on Ch. 22- Epilogue. There's also a study guide check tomorrow.

Math:   Students took an oral multiplication fact quiz for practice. We stuffed folders for student led parent teacher conferences and reviewed for the chapter test. No homework today. Chapter 4-1 to 4-4 test is Friday.

Pre-Algebra: Students went over 5-7 and and jumped into 5-8.  We stuffed folders for student led parent teacher conferences and reviewed for the chapter test.  The Chapter 5 test will be Thursday.

Science:  Students learned their blood type if a permission form was turned in.  We also watched some videos today about the circulatory system.  A study guide has been handed out and the test will be this Friday, January 27th.  Study!

English: Students read Ch. 20-21 in class. There is a study guide check tomorrow and a quiz. Please study!

7th Period English: We had a quiz and a literature circle today. Students can start their projects.

Math:   Students turned in their Vocab Activities, took the spelling quiz, graded the homework and then jumped up into 4-2.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra: Students graded the RTGO? over 5-1 - 5-4.  We then jumped into lesson 5-5. Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students continued learning about the circulatory system by taking some notes and coloring some diagrams.  Remember to return your signed blood typing permission form, if you are interested in participating in this opportunity (optional).  Blood typing will happen Wednesday, January 25th.

Science:  Students finished our frog dissection lab.  No homework.

English: Students and read Ch. 9-10 and are to complete the study guide for Tuck Everlasting. Students have a vocab sheet that is due on Monday. 

7th Period English: Students took a quiz. 

Geography:  Students caught up on current events by watching CNN student news. They also had the period to work on their maps and current event assignment for 3rd quarter. The North America Maps are due on Friday (today) for 50 points. Students are more than welcome to take home a textbook if they need to finish it up!

Pre-Algebra:  Students took a mult fact quiz, graded problems from the AYR and then jumped into 5-1.  Complete the homework for Monday.

Science:  Students observed their Petri dish once again to see how our contamination lab is progressing.  We also continued learning about the immune system.  No homework.

English: Students read Prologue- Ch. 3 in Tuck. They need to complete their vocabulary paper for Monday. 

7th Period English: Students got a preview of Tuck Everlasting. They need to read Prologue - Ch. 3 and complete the vocabulary. 

Geography:  Students worked on their Current Event assignment. If they did not finish they can always work on it. It is due March 3rd. Ask your student what current event they are focusing on and why? No homework!

Math:   Students went over lessons 7-1 - 7-4 and took notes  The homework is:  7-1: 1,2,4,5,6 (just answer the question) and 7 & 8.  7-2: 6,8,12.  7-3: 1-3, 7,8,16.  7-4: 1-3, 6-8 and 11.

Pre-Algebra:  Students went over the Chapter 4 test, handed back and went over the HSS and then had time to work on the AYR at the beginning of Chapter 5.

Science:  Students learned about their immune system by taking some notes.  We also observed our Petri dish to see how our contamination lab is going.  No homework.

English: Students received their Tuck books, study guides, and vocab activities. Vocab is due on Monday. Otherwise, no homework. :)

7th Period English: Students took notes over capitalization and punctuation. No homework :)

Geography:  Students watched CNN student news today in preparation for the current event work day tomorrow. This gives them the opportunity to pick an interesting and educational current event for their assignment. No homework!

Math:   Students were introduced to Mr. Kuecker who is Mr. Sanny's student teacher for the next 8 weeks.  We then asked some questions to let Mr. Kuecker get to know the kids.  As time allowed, we watched a few more OK GO videos to emphasize the importance of practice and preparation to be more successful.
