Math:   Students took a GST, went over the Vocab Quiz, talked about a new addition and looked at an example of what the NeSA test will look like on the computer.  No homework.

Geography:  Students were introduced to vocabulary for the Hungry Planet unit.  No homework.

English:  NeSA preparation packet. The students will be working on this packet for the next several weeks. It is their job during class to complete the packet over the terms that we have covered. We will cover around five terms per day. 


Science:  Students learned about classification of living things and the 6 Kingdoms. No Homework.

Math:   Students turned in their Vocab Activities and took the spelling quiz over the term 3 words.  We then discussed some math involved with the NCAA basketball tournament and took another Grande Soft Taco.

Pre-Algebra:    Students turned in their Vocab Activities and took the spelling quiz over the term 3 words.  We then discussed some math involved with the NCAA basketball tournament and took another Grande Soft Taco.

Geography:  Students were introduced to the 12 Hungry Planet countries by completing a red atlas activity.  Due at the end of class.  No homework and have a great break!

English:  NeSA preparation packet. The students will be working on this packet for the next several weeks. It is their job during class to complete the packet over the terms that we have covered. We will cover around five terms per day. 


Science:  Students reviewed for tomorrow's test.  Students have received a 3-page study guide packet.  Study!

Math:   Students went over the FA 6A and then took a practice quiz from the NeSA.

Pre-Algebra:    Students went over lesson 7-4 and then took a practice quiz from the NeSA, we may have jumped into lesson 7-5.  Ask your student what we got to.

Geography:  Students went over correct answers for the "What's Cooking?" worksheet and did a closure activity.  No homework.

English:  NeSA preparation packet. The students will be working on this packet for the next several weeks. It is their job during class to complete the packet over the terms that we have covered. We will cover around five terms per day.

Math:   Students  finished presenting the famous mathematicians and then had time to work on countdown to testing problems or term 3 vocabulary activities.  Be sure to have your Term 3 Vocab activities done by the beginning of class on Friday.

Pre-Algebra:    Students  finished presenting the famous mathematicians and then had time to work on countdown to testing problems or term 3 vocabulary activities.  Be sure to have your Term 3 Vocab activities done by the beginning of class on Friday.

Geography:  Students finished up on a project called "What's Cooking?" on the computers www.choosemyplate.gov.  They investigated calories and different foods for their age range.  No homework.

English:  NeSA preparation packet. The students will be working on this packet for the next several weeks. It is their job during class to complete the packet over the terms that we have covered. We will cover around five terms per day. 


Science:  Students learned the names of 10 bones and 5 muscles in preparation for Friday's test.  Students have received a 3-page study guide packet.  Test Friday.

Happy Pi Day!!

Math:   Students  turned in their homework from 6-5, talked about Pi day and tied it to the search area of the missing Malaysian plane, went over what to do for the Term 3 Vocabulary Activities and then began presenting their Famous Mathematicians.

Geography:  Students showed me what they learned throughout Central America and the Caribbean by taking an assessment.  No homework for the weekend!

English:  NeSA preparation packet. The students will be working on this packet for the next several weeks. It is their job during class to complete the packet over the terms that we have covered. We will cover around five terms per day. 


Science:  Students learned the parts of the integumentary system (skin).  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:     Students  graded lesson 7-2 and and discussed lesson 7-3.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Geography:  Students handed in the station activity for Central America and the Caribbean.  We went over the study guide today.  Test over Central America and the Caribbean will be Friday.  Homework:  C.A. and the Caribbean map if it is not finished.  Map HAS TO be completed by tomorrow.

English:  NeSA preparation packet. The students will be working on this packet for the next several weeks. It is their job during class to complete the packet over the terms that we have covered. We will cover around five terms per day. 


Science:  Students learned the parts and functions of the reproductive system.  Students then watched a video about early human development called "Life's Greatest Miracle" (by NOVA).  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:     Students  discussed lesson 7-2 and were assigned homework for tomorrow.

Geography:  Students continued on the station activity for Central America and the Caribbean.  Students were handed a study guide today.  We will go over the study guide tomorrow.  Test over Central America and the Caribbean will be Friday.  Homework:  C.A. and the Caribbean map if it is not finished.

English:  NeSA preparation packet. The students will be working on this packet for the next several weeks. It is their job during class to complete the packet over the terms that we have covered. We will cover around five terms per day. 


Science:  Students learned about the location of the glands of the endocrine system.  Students then used iPads to research the functions of various hormones.  No homework.

Science:  Students played Jeopardy to review for tomorrow's test over the nervous system.  Use your study guide and study for the nervous system test!

Math:   Students took a quick "quiz" over Dimensional Analysis.  We then discussed the Famous Mathematician project.  Students received a packet over mathematicians.  It will be due Thursday.

Pre-Algebra:  Students took the Chapter 6 Formative Assessment.

Geography:  Students worked on POL/PHY maps of Central America and the Caribbean.  Maps due Thursday and are worth 50 points.  HMWK:  Mexican review due Wednesday.  Central American and Caribbean maps due Thursday.

English:  Make Your Own Menu Project. Due Thursday at the end of class. 

Science:  Students participated in a Stroop test.  Students then filled out a study guide.  Nervous system test Thursday.

Math:   Students took an oral mult fact quiz, went over the FA from Friday and were handed back their Vocab Activities.  We then looked at some problems that involved Dimensional Analysis.

Pre-Algebra:  Students reviewed for the Chapter 6 Formative Assessment, which is tomorrow.

Geography:  Students finished up on their Mexican art projects and had time to work on their Mexican Review worksheet.  Homework:  The review worksheet is due on Wednesday at the beginning of class.  I'm still missing some Mexico maps.

English:  Make Your Own Menu Project. Due Thursday at the end of class. 

Science:  Students participated in a short term memory challenge.  Students have been offered a study guide.  Nervous system test Thursday.
