Science –Went over the gelatin activity-very important scientific concepts. Tuesday's class is in 113. SCIENCE CURRENT EVENT SUMMARY IS DUE WEDNESDAY.

Math - Students went over how to add and subtract decimals as well as identified some properties of addition. They need to complete lesson 2-3 for homework.

Pre-Algebra - Students went over the skills you need for chapter 2 and went over aspects from lesson 2-1 and 2-2. Complete the Homework from lesson 2-2.

English -- Today we reviewed compound and collective nouns. Tonight, finish the noun worksheet and use four during-reading strategies while reading your AR book. Bring your book all this week.

GEOGRAPHY – Today we did a classroom activity called Absolutely Corret! It was a partner activity where the students had to locate places using Latitude and Longitude. The Latitude and Longitude test for this unit will be on Friday; Thursday we will review!

Science –Did an activity that showed us the reason cells are so small. Tuesday's class is in 113. SCIENCE CURRENT EVENT SUMMARY IS DUE WEDNESDAY.

Math - Students took a mult fact quiz, organized KPS Assessments and then started a video over adding and subtracting decimals. No homework.

Pre-Algebra - Students took a mult fact quiz, organized the KPS assessments and then were assigned the final "code" to work on as a group and are to finish the "Chapter 2 skills you need" for tomorrow.

English -- Today we reviewed nouns. Tonight, finish the noun worksheet and use four during-reading strategies while reading your AR book. Bring your book all this week.

GEOGRAPHY – Today in Geography we continued with Latitude and Longitude using a map of North America. Students will have no homework if they used their class time wisely. The Latitude and Longitude test for this unit will be on Friday; Thursday we will review!

Science –Went over the plastic bag activity and set up the potato activity. Wed's class is in 113.

Math - Students finished the add / subtracting KPS assessment. We then reviewed the multiplication piece and took that KPS assessment. No homework.

Pre-Algebra - Students continued going over the KPS assessments dealing with Chapter 1 and retook them if needed.

English -- Today we edited and revised our narrative writing. Final copy due at the end of class today. Tonight, use four during-reading strategies while reading your AR book.

GEOGRAPHY – Today students were given a worksheet testing their knowledge on Latitude and Longitude. They were also given questions and a map of Africa to answer question with specific coordinates. Students should not homework if they used their class time wisely.

Science –Set up an activity (plastic bag activity)that will teach us how materials (for example: water and oxygen) get in and out of cells. See you in lab 113 on Tuesday.

Math - Students went over the Birth Announcement project and discussed what needs to be done if you would like to redo it (anyone can redo it if they want). We then discussed estimating addition and subtraction of fractions and started the KPS assessment. More time will be given tomorrow to finish the assessment. No homework.

Science –Showed off our cell models and took the cell quiz. See you in lab 113 on Thursday.

Math - The Birth Announcement project was due yesterday. It will take me a good week or so to get them graded. I will accept late projects. Students worked on review worksheets. They are to have the front and the back side of the "How much" worksheet and the front side of the "After building" completed for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra - Students went through a powerpoint to review for the Chapter 1 Test Thursday (which will be composed of 5 (fairly quick and easy) KPS assessments).

English -- Today we continued drafting our narrative writing. Tonight, use four during-reading strategies while reading your AR book. You need to have half of your points for progress reports by Thursday.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!! The dance we held Friday night was a huge success. We earned enough money to mount TWO, yes TWO projectors in our team area. Thank you for your support and allowing your student to attend. There were more 7-4 students there than from any other team.

Science –Finished acting out our cell skits. Also we put together our cell models. Wed's class is in science lab 113, we will take the cell quiz.

Math - The Birth Announcement project was due today. I will accept late projects. We continued discussing estimation and took a KPS assessment over dividing decimals. No homework.
