Science: Monday's class is in lab 113. Your October science current event summary is due Wed. Oct. 3rd. Today we viewed the results to the plastic bag activity.

Math: Students went over how to estimate multiplication and division of fractions and took a KPS Assessment.

English - We journaled and finished our picto-words. Be sure to read over the weekend. AR points are due on October 18th -- that is only 3 weeks away.

GEOGRAPHY: - Turned in Landform projects. Students created analogies for various landforms.

Science: Wednesday's class is in lab 113. Tuesday we went over the gelatin activity, that introduced the VERY IMPORTANT CONCEPT OF DIFFUSION to us.

Math: Students went over how to estimate addition and subtraction of fractions and took a KPS Assessment.

English - We journaled, discussed definitions for colorful verbs, and started our picto-words. Tonight: read 20 - 30 minutes. While reading, watch for words that you are unfamiliar with to share in class tomorrow.

GEOGRAPHY: - Finished making "Landform Booklets" in class. Students must finish as homework if not completed.

Math: Students went over terminology, how to estimate division of decimals and took a KPS Assessment.

English - We journaled and found definitions for colorful verbs. Tonight: read 20 - 30 minutes. Come back tomorrow with a word that you came across that you are not familiar with.

Math: Students took a mult fact quiz, reviewed how to esitmate .

English - We continued with our narrative writing. Students were able to type their final copy. Tonight, complete all four of our reading strategies while reading 20-30 minutes. The week's strategies are due Monday. Final narrative copies were due today.

GEOGRAPHY: - Turned survey data into bar graphs and pie charts. Students wrote 5 questions that could be answered with graph and shared projects.

Science: Today we took our cell parts and functions quiz. Thursday meet in 208. Need to finish cell analogy.
Math: Students went over the homework, reviewed how to estimate addition and subtraction of decimals and then took a KPS assessment over that information.

English - We continued with our narrative writing. Students were able to type their final copy. Computers are also available tomorrow for typing. Tonight, complete all four of our reading strategies while reading 20-30 minutes. Final copies are due Thursday.

GEOGRAPHY: - Discussed reading and using charts & graphs. HW- survey with at least 40 responses due tomorrow.

Science: Tuesday will be the last day we will work on our cell analogy project in class. Cell analogies are due Thursday before end of school. Cell parts and their functions quiz is Wed.

Math: Students created a journal and then answered a journal question. Students were also given a worksheet dealing with estimation. It is due tomorrow.

English - We focused on conclusions and continued writing our rough draft for our narrative. Tonight, complete all four of our reading strategies while reading 20-30 minutes. It will be helpful if you have your rough draft done for class tomorrow. Final copies are due Thursday.

GEOGRAPHY: - Read p. 9-10 in class, discussed political & physical maps. Discussed elevation and given elevation ws for homework.

English - We took spelling pre-test 5 and started our rough draft for our narrative. Tonight, complete all four of our reading strategies while reading 20-30 minutes. Keep working on your rough draft. It will be helpful if you have it done for class tomorrow.

GEOGRAPHY: - Students went over worksheet #13 and worked with an atlas. Worksheet 8 was given to them!

Math - Students were shown their current grades, went over the KPS Assessment from last week and discussed lesson 1-5. Have the problems listed on the homework sheet completed for tomorrow.

English - We took spelling pre-test #4 and practiced finding prepositions. Tonight, complete all four of our reading strategies while reading 20-30 minutes. Also, finished the preposition worksheet.

GEOGRAPHY: Practiced and reviewed latitude and longitude. Learned how to play Lattleship. Latitude and Longitude quiz on Wed.

Science: Get cell notes from me. Monday's class is in lab 113. Monday you will plan and present a skit that acts out the parts of each cell.

Math - Students looked at a couple of story problems and then were assigned problems from lesson 1-6. Of the problems 1-6 starting on page 28, do any 2 even and any 1 odd.

English - We took spelling test #3 and took notes over prepositions. Tonight, complete three of our four reading strategies while reading 20-30 minutes.

GEOGRAPHY: Mr. Howard was absent, see him when you and he return. Students worked on a Republican River map activity. No homework.
