Geography:   Today we finished the movie Remember the Titans. It is about segregation in the US and is relatable to Apartheid in South Africa. Extra credit was given in class that follows the movie. It is due TODAY by the end of their class periods. It is not mandatory.

Science:  Students played Kahoot in order to review for Friday's test over the Cell Cycle. Study materials can be found on Google Classroom. STUDY!

English:  Students worked on two lessons from my.hrw.com over attribution and quoting.  Students have a worksheet to complete.  The Attribution/Quotes worksheets will be checked on Thursday.  Research guides are due Thursday.  AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Students read chapters 13, 14 and 15.  There will be a quiz over chapters 11 - 15 on Thursday. Giver #1 project is due Friday, December 7th. "L" is due on Friday as well.  AR is due on December 17th.

Geography:   Today we continued on the activity that compared their daily life to daily life of a school aged child in Africa. We completed this activity in class and then worked in groups sharing information. We had great discussions! The assignment is on Google Classroom if they need to work on it at home.

Geography:   Today we took a few more Africa notes. We then started on an activity that compared their daily life to daily life of a school aged child in Africa. They all had different interviews. This assignment is due tomorrow at the end of class. Student can work on it at home if they'd like, but we will have class time to work on it tomorrow. They need to be ready to share their findings in class tomorrow. The assignment is on Google Classroom (different African Interview) if they need to work on it at home.

Geography:   Today we caught up on current events from around the world. Those that were not done with their map had the period to get finished. The maps are due today for 50 points. If they don't get the map finished in this time period they may check out a textbook and work on it at home. I also put the atlas map on Google Classroom for extra assistance. 7th Period English:  Students took a quiz over Ch. 1-5 in The Giver. Homework is to read Ch. 6-8 in The Giver. First project is due December 7th. AR is due on December 17th.

Geography:   Today we continued the Africa unit with work on the physical side of the map. The maps are due on Friday for 50 points. They will have class time Mon-Wed. If they don't get the map finished in this time period they may check out a textbook and work on it at home. I also put the atlas map on Google Classroom for extra assistance. Ask your student how much of the map they accomplished today in class.

**Also, just a quick reminder to help your student's charge their chromebooks at home.

Math:   Students continued going over Lesson 17 Family  Vacation Worksheet. Finish the Worksheet for homework.

Pre-Algebra:    Students reviewed lesson 3, and then jumped right into lesson 4.  For homework students will be doing the problem set for Lesson 3. 

Science:   Students completed a Cell Cycle Simulation using simple materials like pipe cleaner and string. Complete the worksheet and turn it in if you didn't do so in class. Check Infinite Campus to see if you turned it in (a blank score means it was not turned in today).

English:  Students worked on their geography research guide. These are due Thursday. AR is due on December 17th.
