Math:   Students learned how to calculate percentages in their heads.  They are to finish the worksheet and then teach someone else how to do the percents in their heads.  The teaching percents will be due at the beginning of class Friday, December 13th.   Don't forget to finish "If I Won $1.5 Billion" Project is on your GoogleClassroom and it is due Tuesday, December 10th at 8 am sharp.

Pre-Algebra:   Students took the test over lessons 19 and 20 and looked at how to do the $1.5 Billion project.

Science: Students completed lesson 3.3 from our Phase Change unit, where students continued to think about the tug-of-war between molecular attraction and kinetic energy. The Scientific Argument for Phase Change has been assigned on Google Classroom and is due Wednesday, December 11th by 4:00 pm. The test over our Phase Change unit is planned for Thursday, December 19th. We will take the mid-unit assessment tomorrow in class, and it will serve as a study guide. 

English:  Students began typing. If research is not done, students need to do it as homework. Research papers are due on December 16th. AR is due December 17th.

7th Period English: Students had a quiz over Ch. 16-19. Projects are due December 13th. AR is due December 17th. "N" is due on Monday the 16th. If students want to improve their research papers, they have until Thursday this week to make corrections.

Geography:  Today looked at poaching issues in Africa on a website. Students were sent home with a permission slip to watch Remember the Titans (PG) video starting next Tuesday. Please be looking for a green paper that explains the significance. Looking ahead- The Africa test will be December 16th. Remember the Titans permission slip is due on Monday, Dec 16th! Please make sure you keep your Africa map safe! You'll need it for the test!

**Also, just a quick reminder to help your student's charge their chromebooks at home.

MATH STUDENTS who have missed school:  Go to the website  embarc (click here or go to Mr. Sanny's website for the link) and navigate to the module and lesson you missed.  You can watch a video of someone teaching that lesson.  The book they use might be slightly different than ours, but it should be pretty close.
