Students took a mult fact quiz, went over the Formative Assessment from Friday. We then reviewed integer operations and showed how to use chips to answer problems. No homework.
Pre-Algebra
Students graded lesson 2-3 and went over how to do lesson 2-4. Complete anything not finished during class for Monday.
Geography:
Students worked on the Landform Exploration worksheet for the first
part of class and then continued on an iPad Google Street View World
Tour. The Landform Exploration sheet is due today. Ask your
student if they turned it in on time.
English: Adjective and Adverb packet. Pages 1-4 are due for tomorrow.

DNA learning activity on the computer and a DNA quiz. Make sure your science
notebook is up-to-date. It will be your final grade of first term!

Pre-Algebra Students reviewed solving equations and had problems to do for homework. Have them completed for tomorrow.
Geography: Continued Tilt of the Earth and Seasons notes and discussion. We also took a pre-test that was not graded, but used as a study practice. Test over Latitude and Longitude is set for Thursday, October 3rd
English: Pronouns packet needs to be completed today. It is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday.
Science: Students did an activity to show how many atoms of an element are present in a molecular formula. We will meet in Lab 112 tomorrow.

Math: Mr. Sanny introduced the Birth Announcement project. We went over what needs to be on it and looked at examples, pointing out good things as well as aspects that could have been improved. The birth announcement will be due Friday, August 30th at the beginning of class. Some time will be given in class to learn how to do the math parts.

Geography: Final Review from the year. Final day for ALL grades are May 20th. There will be homework/study guide on Thursday.

Geography: Day 1 Final Review from the year. I offered an extra credit opportunity for vocabulary if students worked hard and filled it out to the best of their ability. Geography: What I Eat: Around the world in 80 diets! Students were given a person from the unit and are to present information to the class. We also viewed and sampled a MRE. I am still missing a few 7 Wonder iMovies. Ask your student if they have theirs turned in. They would be able to show you their movie on Moodle.

Math: Students took a GST mult fact quiz and reviewed lessons 8-1 - 8-3. We will have a Formative Assessment over those sections on Wednesday.
Pre-Algebra: Students went over lesson 7-2 and began 7-3. Complete the homework for tomorrow.
Geography: Finished up notes over chapter 9 with a Pop quiz (students were able to use their notes). Started the 7 Wonders of the World activity. Ask your student, or check powerschool, if they have turned in their map for Chapter 9.
English: Reading passage. NeSA Reading is tomorrow.
Science: Students graphed and analyzed the population of Kaibab deer that lived in Arizona from 1905 to 1939. Make sure you have finished all 7 analysis questions.

Math: Students did a week of the Countdown to Testing problems and looked at the NeSA Math practice test.
Pre-Algebra: Students did a week of the Countdown to Testing problems and looked at the NeSA Math practice test.
Geography: Test over Chapter 8 is today. We will be moving on to the other countries in South America next.
English: NeSA packet. Complete the next two pages for tomorrow (Dialect/Jargon and Figurative Language).
Science: Students participated in a "Cougar Hunt" to act out an ecological scenario and determine how many cougars could survive. No homework.
