Paperwork for PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES  went home with students Monday.  Return the papers as soon as possible.

Math:   Students graded the worksheet from yesterday, discussed lesson 1-11 and had part of class to work on the homework.  Finish it for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:  Students looked at how to multiply and divide integers.  Ask him or her what story they remember in order to do the work.  Complete the homework for lesson 1-7 for tomorrow.

Geography: Latitude and Longitude Unit.  Did quick practice over Lat and Long and worked on lesson #5.  No homework.

English: Finish "Riki Tiki Tavi" today. Reviewed for quiz tomorrow.

Science:  Periods 3, 6, 7: Final work day for the Cell Analogy Project.  Students were given a directions sheet last Friday.  Here is how to log on to their kearney cats account: (1) http://docs.kearneycats.com/  (2) username = first 3 letters of first name then entire last name  (3) password = first and last initials, number sign, lunch number  (ex: ja#12345).  Students are using "google presentation".  Presentations will begin Friday.  Period 9: Students will be given their last work day Friday.  Students who were ready began presenting today.

Geography: Latitude and Longitude Unit.  Finished Practice in Red Atlases.  No homework.

English: Read "Riki Tiki Tavi" today. Noun review. Noun packet due Monday. Students also received a vocabulary sheet. They should begin finding the definitions for next week.

English: Noun Unit. The students were given a noun worksheet packet. Begin reading "Riki Tiki Tavi" and discuss plot.

English:  Capitalization Unit. WORKSHEET PACKET DUE FRIDAY! CAPITALIZATION TEST FRIDAY!!

Science:  3rd and 9th period completed an activity to show that cell structure determines cell function. 6th and 7th period finished using microscopes to view different types of cells. No homework.

English:  Capitalization Unit. Chapter Review due on Thursday by the end of class. Capitalization test on FRIDAY! Idiom discussion today. Idiom #1 in composition notebook.

Science:  Students looked at their own cheek cells under a microscope, as well as onion cells (6th & 7th per).  Students looked at prepared slides of various tissues to better understand that all living things are made of cells.  Meet in the regular classroom for class on Thursday.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:  Students went over important websites (see above) and then worked on the textbook scavenger hunt with a partner.  No homework.  The Birth Announcement Project is due WEDNESDAY for this class.

Geography: Went over Continents and Oceans Test.  Begin Parts of a Map Unit-Notes.  No homework.

English:  Capitalization Unit. Notes over Titles of Things. Read "The Bike" on page 50.  Students must think of a topic for their narrative writing assignment. Topic due Wednesday. Capitalization test on FRIDAY!

Science:  Looked at the letter "e" under a microscope.  Also looked at various prepared slides and did some sketching.  Meet in Lab 111 for class on Tuesday.  No homework.
