Geography: Started working on questions for Climate Zone Posters. Homework: Section 1 and 2 Vocabulary.
English: Computer lab. Type bibliography for expository paper.
Science:
Students made cheese in the science lab to demonstrate how proteins can work. In this case the protein was an enzyme that broke up the milk into curds and whey. DNA is the code for making protein!

Those activities will be due Friday and we will take a spelling quiz Friday over those words. We also went over the integers quiz they took Friday. The last day of PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES are on the 27th. Hope to see you there! Have a great 4 day weekend.
Math: Students took a multiplication fact quiz and graded 2-1 homework. We started section 2-2 dealing with pawzies vs. neggies. No Homework.
Pre-Algebra: Students took the Formative Assessment over Chapter 1. No Homework.
Geography: MapQuest activity. I gave the students a few min to work in the lab to wrap up the assignment. CNN student news-current events. Homework: IF MapQuest activity isn't finished it becomes homework.
English: "The Third Wish"test. No homework.
Science: The Chapter 3 crossword puzzle was due today. Students who failed to turn the crossword in on time were given a science textbook to take home over the weekend so they could finish this assignment. We went over the study guide so students can study for next Tuesday's test.

The last day of PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES are on the 27th. Hope to see you there! Have a great 4 day weekend.
Math: Students took a multiplication fact quiz and graded 2-1 homework. We started section 2-2 dealing with pawzies vs. neggies. No Homework.
Pre-Algebra: Students took the Formative Assessment over Chapter 1. No Homework.
Geography: MapQuest activity. I gave the students a few min to work in the lab to wrap up the assignment. CNN student news-current events. Homework: IF MapQuest activity isn't finished it becomes homework.
English: "The Third Wish"test. No homework.
Science: The Chapter 3 crossword puzzle was due today. Students who failed to turn the crossword in on time were given a science textbook to take home over the weekend so they could finish this assignment. We went over the study guide so students can study for next Tuesday's test.

English: "The Third Wish" review sheet. Reading guide due today. "The Third Wish" test is TOMORROW! Also, students are ALWAYS allowed to take their textbooks home if needed to complete an assignment.
Science: Students communicated their lab results with their class from the osmosis lab. The Chapter 3 crossword puzzle is due tomorrow. Students were allowed to check-out a science textbook after school. Students also received a study guide for next Tuesday's test.

Pre-Algebra: Students began learning how to add integers. Ask your student how to add positive and negative numbers quickly in their head. Complete the homework for lesson 1-5 for tomorrow.
Geography: Latitude and Longitude Unit. Notes and definitions today. No homework.
English: Noun Unit. The students were given a noun worksheet packet. Begin reading "Riki Tiki Tavi" and discuss plot.

Science: Finish the classification "Aliens".
Math: Students are to finish the problems for 8-5 and complete the fill in the blanks for 8-6. If time allowed, kids could work on their vocab posters.
Pre-Algebra: Students had time to work their posters. No homework.
English: Quiz over chapters 1-5 today. Create detailed poster of one of the characters from The Outsiders
Geography: Chapter 9- The Andean Countries. Political and Physical Map work and sec 1 and 2 questions. Homework is to finish the sec 1 and 2 questions for Monday.

Science: Took the nervous system test.
Math: Students went over the 8-4 section in the packet and turned in the packet. We also had a quiz over 8-1 - 8-4.
Pre-Algebra: Students went over lesson 7-4 homework and reviewed 7-1 - 7-4. Students were to complete problems 1 - 11 on page 358 for tomorrow.
English: Extra credit opportunity!! In addition, Ch 3&4 writing activity (at least one page in length), due Friday!
Geography: Chapter 8 Brazil and its neighbors. Studying for the Test on Thursday over Chapter 8 material. Students were given a study guide to fill out as we go through the questions. Homework: Begin to study for the Chapter 8 Test!!!!! (Maps, Notes, Vocab, Game of War questions)

Math: Students graded the AYR problems and then worked on the 8-1 and 8-2 sections. Have both sets of homework done for tomorrow.
