Science - Thursday we found out the results to our lung volume study. Friday we will meet in lab 113. The quiz will be on Monday.

Math - Students graded 6-3. Students are to complete problems 2 - 5, 8, 9-12 and 14 - 19 for homework from lesson 6-4. We will take a "QUEST" tomorrow over lessons 6-1 - 6-4.

English -- In class students worked on the details of chapter 4 and had time to work on their panel discussion questions. Finish preparing for panel discussion tomorrow and be reading for your AR points. There is also a vocab quiz over chapters 1-4 vocab tomorrow, so review those worksheets.

Science -Tuesday we completed our circulatory system station activities. Wednesday's class is in lab 113. If want to know your blood type, bring your permission slip back to science by Friday.

Math - Students graded the homework and then went over metric measurement. Students had time to work on a worksheet which will be due tomorrow.

English -- In class students listened to chapter 10, took a reading check quiz over chapters 9 and 10, and turned in their chapter 9 and 10 study guide. Read your AR book tonight. Book points are due March 6th.

Science -Monday and Tuesday we are doing circulatory system stations. These are activities designed to explain more about the circulatory system. If want to know your blood type, bring your permission slip back to science by Thursday.

Math - Students went over the questions students were assigned on Friday. We then went over converting measurements and assigned homework from lesson 5-8: problems 1 - 4 and 9 - 21.

English -- In class students reviewed details of chapters 7 and 8. They also completed the before reading questions for chapters 9 and 10. Finish reading chapter 9 and complete the as you read section for tomorrow. We will read chapter 10 out loud tomorrow in class. The study guide is due at the end of class tomorrow. There will also be a quiz over chapters 9 and 10 tomorrow. Book points are due March 6th.

GEOGRAPHY - Read Ps. 97 thru 100 and complete Technology "Shrinks" the World Packet. See me in the A.M.

Science -Introduced the circulatory system by doing notes online. Monday's class is in the Lab 113..

English -- In class students wrote an essay describing their favorite classroom. We will edit and revise next week. Descriptive writings are piling up. Be sure you are on top of your work. Book points are due March 6th.

Science -Finished the frog dissection. Thursday meet in 208.

Math - Students turned in the homework and then were assigned to complete any 5 even and any 4 odd problems (out of 15) from lesson 4-7. Students had about 30 minutes to work on this in class with their groups.

English -- In class students listened to chapter 8 and turned in study guide 7-8. If you didn't turn in chapters 3-4 or 5-6 study guide, they need to be in by the 22nd. Descriptive writings are piling up. Be sure you are on top of your work.

Science -Continued the frog dissection. Wednesday we will also be in lab 113, finishing the frog dissection.

Science - Started the frog dissection. Tuesday and Wednesday we will also be in lab 113, doing the frog dissection.
Math - Students took an oral multiplication fact quiz and then reviewed solving equations. Complete the following problems for tomorrow: page 121: 29 - 34, page 202: 18 - 21, page 125: 30 - 35 and page 223: 22 - 25 .

English -- In class students discussed chapters 5 and 6. If you didn't turn in chapters 3-4 study guide, it needs to be in by the 22nd. Chapters 5-6 study guide was collected today. It also needs to be in by Friday. Your final copy for your descriptive writing about yourself was also collected today. A quiz over chapters 1-6 is tomorrow. Review, review, review.

Science -Started the healthy habits promotion.

Math - Students graded lessons 4-6 & 4-8. Students were given problems to complete to review for the test. Complete Checkpoint 1, page 163: 1 - 3, 7 - 14, Checkpoint 2, page 175: 1 - 4, 7 - 12 and Chapter 4 Wrap up, page 182: 1, 2, 8, 9, 18, 22 - 24. There will be a Test on Friday over the material we've covered from Chapter 4.

English -- In class students took a quiz over compound sentences. Continue reading for 3rd quarter.

GEOGRAPHY - Students discussed 5 different types of government. Completed government chart and practiced the different types of democracy.

Science -Did active reading about the most important health advances in our history.

Math - Students continued looking at the patterns in Pascal's Triangle. We then reviewed at the divisibility rules of the numbers 2 - 10 and went over lesson 4-5. Complete problems 1 - 6, 8 - 13, 30 - 34 and 38 - 41 for tomorrow. Starting this term, homework assignments are due the next day and will not be accepted late. If a student did not complete the homework by class time, they can come in after school and finish it. Homework assignments will not be accepted after 4 o'clock that day.

English -- In class students took notes over compound sentences and practiced identifying. Finish the worksheet for tomorrow and continue reading for 3rd quarter.

GEOGRAPHY - Students discussed how religion relates to culture and filled out a chart of the world's major religions.

Science -Today we did a disease scavenger hunt.

Science -Disease test will be Wednesday. Tuesday we finished the Jeopardy game.

Math - Students went over the graded H.S.S. Packet and looked at their current grades. If students are not satisfied with their grade on the packet they can redo it by Friday and earn up to a 40 out of 45 points. Students work through some more real world math problems then we discussed info from lesson 4-2 and assigned problems 1 - 12 for homework.

English -- In class, students compared and contrasted two poems and practiced writing their own poem. AR points are due December 20th.

Science - Did a simulation to figure out how some of our classmates got sick. Science current event due next Wed. December 5th. Class is in Lab 113 until you are told differently.

Science - Lab 113 Tuesday. Family tree activity, due Nov. 29.

Math - TEAM SANNY WAS VICTORIOUS IN THE MILLION CALORIE FOOD DRIVE. Team Sanny evened up the score with Mrs. Grassmeyer by bringing in over 1.5 million calories. AWESOME!! Today we went over lesson 3-6 and assigned problems 25 - 40 from that lesson. Keep bringing in ads for our project in December.

English --We finished reading "Three Skeleton Key" and did the "witches hat" worksheet--finish at home if needed. No reading strategies this week!

GEOGRAPHY - Students read an article and answered questions on the process and problems of desalinating water.
