Science –Digestive system quiz is Friday. Tuesday we finished the 2-1-5-1 plan.
Math - Students turned in homework from yesterday, and had the entire time to work on problems from the Chapter 6 Wrap Up and Assessment on pages 282 and 284. The BIG Chapter 6 test will be Thursday.
English -- In class students reviewed chapters 10-11 and finished the Outsiders. Tomorrow is the panel discussion. Please have your summaries or critical thinking questions ready. Bring back signed movie permission forms. Be reading for your AR points.
GEOGRAPHY – Discussed Mayan writing, astronomy and math. Homework- 10 math problems using Mayan symbols (don't answer) Story problem = extra credit

GEOGRAPHY – Students began learning about the ancient civilizations of Mexico. Read p. 197-199 started notes packet.

Math - Students discussed more problems and focused on percent of change. For homework, students are to complete problems from lesson 6-11: 1 - 10, 21 - 30, & 41 - 50.

Science – Tuesday we viewed several different online videos. Wednesday we will meet in 208.
Math - Students went over the worksheet from the other day and then talked about some pressing issues that involve math. Ask your student how many times he or she could fold piece of paper in half. What if you were able to fold one in half 50 times? How thick would it be? No homework
English -- In class students went over chapter 9 of the Outsiders. Please finish critical thinking questions or your summary for tomorrow's panel discussion. Bring back signed permission forms. Be reading for your AR points.

Math - Students turned in their packets and continued worked on a percents. Students had a worksheet that will be due tomorrow. Again students are encouraged to work through "lessons" on www.learnalberta.ca to learn and reinforce material. Students can go to this site and "enter this site as a guest" and type in a topic they are interested in learning more about in the "enter keyword or phrase."
English -- In class students went over chapter 7 of the Outsiders. Finish reading chap. 8 for tomorrow. Bring back signed permission forms. Be reading for your AR points.
