Math:
Students graded the worksheet from yesterday and took the Formative Assessment over
lessons 2-1 - 2-4. No homework.
Pre-Algebra
Students went over the worksheet and then moved on to lesson 2-3. Complete anything not finished during class for Monday.
Geography: Students worked on the Landform Exploration worksheet for the first part of class and then started on an iPad Google Street View World Tour. The Landform Exploration sheet is due on Monday. Ask your student if they have homework.
English: Verb test today. No homework.
Science:
Students completed a K-W-L on DNA in their science notebook. Make sure your science
notebook is up-to-date. It will be your final grade of first term!

Geography: Students participated in a landform challenger today in class and started on a Landform Textbook Exploration worksheet. No homework.
English: Verb Jeopardy. The verb test is Friday!

Geography: Continued Tilt of the Earth and Seasons notes and discussion. We also took a pre-test that was not graded, but used as a study practice. Test over Latitude and Longitude is set for Thursday, October 3rd
English: Pronouns packet needs to be completed today. It is due at the beginning of class on Wednesday.
Science: Students did an activity to show how many atoms of an element are present in a molecular formula. We will meet in Lab 112 tomorrow.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up September 23rd, 24th and 26th. Students were given a sheet on Friday, September 6 which had instructions how to use the website "signupgenius.com" to sign up for conferences. Please sign up as soon as possible as our limited slots are filling up.
Math: Students went over lesson 1-9. Complete the homework for tomorrow.
Pre-Algebra Students reviewed integer operations and are to complete the Ready to Go? on page 34 for tomorrow.
Geography: Finished up Lat and Long practice and did an activity to check for understanding. Students are encouraged to swing in after school if they need some more assistance. No Homework.
English: Family Newspaper Project. It will be due Wednesday at the end of the school day.
Science: Students performed their own lab procedure related to the topic of osmosis. Students have received a study guide and should be preparing for their next test which will be this Wednesday September 25th.

Math: Students took a mult fact quiz and then took the Chapter 1 Formative Assessment. No homework.
Pre-Algebra Students took a mult fact quiz and then reviewed integer operations. No homework.
Geography: Cont. on Latitude and Longitude Unit notes, discussion, and practice. No Homework.
English: Noun test is today.
Science: Students developed their own lab question related to the topic of osmosis. Students will perform their lab Monday. Students have received a study guide and should be preparing for their next test which will be Wednesday September 25th.

Geography: Map Quest activity finish up and comparison. Handed back and went over Parts of a Map Test. Started on Latitude and Longitude Unit. No Homework.
English: Pages 1-9 should be done in the noun packet for today. Vocabulary test today.

Geography: Map Quest activity dealing with budget, miles, fuel, hotels, and directions! Finished up the activity today because of internet speed on Friday. Homework only if they are not finished with the assignment today.
English: "Riki Tiki Tavi" movie.
Science: Students filled in a lab report to prepare for tomorrow's lab about osmosis. Make sure your science notebook is up-to-date. Students also received a study guide today for our next test which will be Wednesday September 25th.
