Math:  Students talked about the number Phi from the book The DaVinci Code.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra: Students presented their famous mathematician.

Science:  Students are working on their Species Research Project using Google Classroom.  Tomorrow is the final workday.  Species Research Projects are due Wednesday, May 17th at 8 pm.  Students will begin presenting on Wednesday.    

English: Today we took a quiz over Ch. 10-12 Projects are due tomorrow! If you do not turn in both projects, you will not be able to see the movie. :) AR is due on May 18th.

Science:  Students applied their knowledge of symbiosis and sorted organisms into partnerships.  Ecology test May 10th.  Students have already received a study guide.  

English: Students read Ch. 8 in class. Projects were due today. Vocab is due tomorrow. OUTSIDERS DRESS UP DAY is tomorrow! AR is due on May 18th.

Science:  Students graphed and analyzed the population of Kaibab deer in Arizona during the early 1900s.  Your worksheet and graph are homework if not complete, and are due Wednesday, May 3rd. Current Event due this Monday, May 1st before 4:00 pm (use Google Classroom).  Current events will NOT be accepted for any credit after May 1st.  

English: Students read Ch. 6 in class and graded our vocabulary. Students need to finish reading Ch. 6 if we didn't finish in class. There is a quiz over Ch. 5-6 and vocab on Monday. Outsiders projects are due May 3rd.

Science:  Students learned about photosynthesis and began watching a documentary about plants and their awesome abilities. Current Event due May 1st (use Google Classroom).  

English: Students took a quiz over Ch.1-2 in The Outsiders and had a literature circle. No homework.

Math:  Students took a mult fact quiz and practice estimations.

Pre-Algebra: Students took a mult fact quiz and practice estimations.

Science:  Students learned more about the 6 kingdoms: Archaea, Bacteria, Protists, Fungi, Plants, Animals. Current Event due May 1st (use Google Classroom).  

English: Students learned about The Outsiders and the 60s. They received vocabulary that is due on April 20th.

Geography:  Students finished up the Asia Vacation. Students were offered a retake for the Asia test starting yesterday. The retake offer ends today at 4:00. It is back to 10th period for QT all this week and students have ample time to study and retake the test during that time. Europe unit starts Monday.

Students are taking the NeSA on Tuesday and Wednesday. 
 These are the activities we are doing when we are not testing.  

Math:  Students worked on one of two activities:  A Math Packet or What I Have learned.  They will be due Thursday at the beginning of class.

Pre-Algebra: Students worked on one of two activities:  A Math Packet or What I Have learned.  They will be due Thursday at the beginning of class.

Science:  Students completed research on an assigned kingdom.  Each student should complete at least one slide as a part of their group Google Slides project.  Current Event due May 1st (use Google Classroom).  

English: Students had a poetry slam and the NeSA. No homework.

Geography:  Students started on an Asia Vacation. This would be a great week to turn in any late or missing work for Geography. Please be checking infinite campus.

Math:  Students continued preparing for the NeSA Math test by going over the NeSA nny.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra: Students continued preparing for the NeSA Math test by go the NeSA nny.   No homework.

Science:  Students learned about the 6 kingdoms and classification of living things.  Current Event due May 1st (use Google Classroom).  

English: Students reviewed their District Writing TDA in preparation for their NeSA test tomorrow. If students didn't receive a score they wanted, they can write a paragraph about what they're going to do differently tomorrow to earn full points.

Science:  Students took a test over their body systems.  Current Event due May 1st (use Google Classroom).  

English: Students wrote a free verse poem today. All poems are due on Monday. 

7th Period English: Students read an article in Scholastic scope about Japanese internment camps.

Geography:  Students worked on Asia notes. Study guide was handed out and we had a little time to review for the test. The Asia test is set for April 10th!
