Math: Students went over the FA 8A and then worked on estimation skills.

Pre-Algebra: Students took the spelling quiz, turned in the vocab activities and then looked at estimation.

Science:  Students learned about tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.  Study the names of your bones using your bones coloring sheet.  Memorize the full, scientific name of any 5 muscles using your muscles coloring sheet.  Know the 5 functions of bones.  Know the difference between tendons, ligaments, and cartilage.  Test tomorrow.  Study!

English: Students continued writing their TDA. They need to have it completed by tomorrow.

7th Period English: Students learned about forms of poetry today. No homework.

Geography:  Students continued on their 7 Wonder research today. Students will put together an iMovie presentation over a 7 Wonder. It is due by Friday at 4:00.

Math: Students took the spelling quiz and turned in the Term 3 Vocab Terms.  Kids had time to work on their chapter 8 packets.  Students should have 8-4 and 8-5 completed.

Pre-Algebra: Students took the FA over 8-1 - 8-3.  The vocab activities are due TOMORROW.  We will take the spelling quiz then as well.

Science:  Students learned the names of 16 major muscles.  Study the names of your bones using your slicky and bone coloring sheet.  Memorize the full name of any 5 muscles that you learned today.  Test Friday.

English: Students started writing their TDA. No homework.

7th Period English: Students started a poetry unit. No homework.

Geography:  Students continued on their 7 Wonder research today. Students will put together an iMovie presentation over a 7 Wonder. It is due by Friday at 4:00.

English: Students read a story over water in Scope. They have a packet that they'll turn in on Monday. They'll have Wednesday and Thursday to work on it. No homework! AR is due today!

Math: Students received the Term 3 Vocabulary.  The activities are due Wednesday, March 15.  The Vocab Quiz will be that day as well.  Kids then continued in Chapter 8. The 8-2 section in their packet needed to be completed for tomorrow.  The formative assessment over lessons 8-1 - 8-3 will be Tuesday, March 14.

Science:  Students observed pig organs including the: trachea, esophagus, heart, lungs, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, small intestine, and large intestine.  Our test over the digestive system will be tomorrow.  Use your study guide to study!

English: Students read a NeSA prompt and started finding text-evidence. No homework! AR is due March 7th.

7th Period English: Students checked their Lit. Terms paper, and started reading a NeSA passage. There is a Lit. Terms quiz tomorrow. Please study! AR is due March 7th.

Geography:  Students continued with their South America unit today by working on a textbook worksheet introducing them to South America. Ask your student if they turned in their Demographics Sheet from Monday (due Friday), South America Map from Wednesday (due Friday), and how their current event is coming along. Math: Went over the review sheet. Students played a kahoot review game to prepare for the assessment. The formative assessment on chapter 6 is tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra: Students went over homework from 7-3. We learned 7-4 today in class.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students began working on their digestive system project.  We will work on this project tomorrow and complete it on Monday.  Our digestive system test will be Friday, February 24th. 

English: Students worked on a Lit. Terms activity. They have a small worksheet to do. It is due on Monday. AR is due March 7th.

7th Period English: Students worked on their plays. Start working on memorizing your lines. We will present on Friday. AR is due March 7th.

Geography:  Students continued on their Hungry Planet notes, vocab and discussion. Hungry Planet vocabulary quiz will be Monday! Current Event (due March 3rd). Work on Current Event assignment and study vocab in your extra time!

Math: Went over section 6-5 homework. Students worked on a partner review of 6-4 and 6-5. Complete the review for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra: Students went over homework from 7-2. We learned 7-3 today in class.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students learned about chemical digestion by observing how an enzyme helps make cheese.  No homework.

English: Students read a Scope article and started a text-evidence worksheet. Students need to have it finished for tomorrow. AR is due March 7th.

7th Period English: Students worked on their plays. Start working on memorizing your lines. We will present on Friday. AR is due March 7th.

English: Students watched Tuck Everlasting in class and did a compare and contrast activity.

7th Period English: Students worked on their plays. Start working on memorizing your lines. 

Geography:  Students looked over the worksheet from Friday and then we started on a quick nutrition review to start our new unit: Hungry Planet. Current Event (due March 3rd). No homework!

Math:   Took an oral multiplication facts quiz. Graded 6-1 homework. Went over section 6-2. Homework.

Pre-Algebra: Students took the chapter 6 Formative Assessment.

Science:  Today we had a guest speaker, Bill Ballou, talk to the students about polio and the iron lung.  Bill brought his iron lung to the classroom!  We also reviewed by playing Kahoot.  Students have received a study guide.  Respiratory system test will be tomorrow, February 8th.  Study!

English: Students watched Tuck Everlasting in class. No homework.

7th Period English: Students started working on their plays. Start working on memorizing your lines. 

Geography:  Students worked on an introductory worksheet to the 12 countries we will be studying in the Hungry Planet unit. No homework!

Math:   Went over the FA. Took a brief Pre-Assessment on chapter 6. Went over section 6-1. Homework.

Pre-Algebra: Went over 6-7 homework. Students reviewed for the FA. Formative Assessment for Chapter 6 will be tomorrow the 7th.

Science:  Students performed a lab to test their vital capacity.  Students have received a study guide. Respiratory system test will be Wednesday, February 8th.  Study!

English: Students presented their projects today. No homework.

7th Period English: Students discussed their answers for the Scope activity. We also discussed student plays.

Geography:  Students went over their North America tests and had an opportunity to work with their partner to correct their stations packet from last week. No homework!

Math:   Took the 4-8 to 4-10 Formative Assessment. No homework over the weekend.

Pre-Algebra: Students went over the 6-6 homework. Learned section 6-7. Homework tonight. Formative Assessment for Chapter 6 will be Tuesday the 7th.

Science:  Students either finished yesterday's lab report or watched a respiratory system video.  All students received a study guide.  They were given time to fill out their study guide during class today.  Study over the weekend because our respiratory system test will be Wednesday, February 8th.  Study!

English: Students worked on their Tuck projects. Projects are due on Monday.

7th Period English: Students read a Scholastic Scope article. No homework. 

Geography:  Students continued on the Central America and the Caribbean Station activity. Today is the last day! Ask them how it went! :)  No homework!

Geography:  Students continued on the Central America and the Caribbean Station activity. Ask them how it went! :)  No homework!
