Math: Went over the review sheet. Students played a kahoot review game to prepare for the assessment. The formative assessment on chapter 6 is tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra: Students went over homework from 7-3. We learned 7-4 today in class.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students began working on their digestive system project.  We will work on this project tomorrow and complete it on Monday.  Our digestive system test will be Friday, February 24th. 

English: Students worked on a Lit. Terms activity. They have a small worksheet to do. It is due on Monday. AR is due March 7th.

7th Period English: Students worked on their plays. Start working on memorizing your lines. We will present on Friday. AR is due March 7th.

Geography:  Students continued on their Hungry Planet notes, vocab and discussion. Hungry Planet vocabulary quiz will be Monday! Current Event (due March 3rd). Work on Current Event assignment and study vocab in your extra time!

Science:  Students learned about chemical digestion by observing how an enzyme helps make cheese.  No homework.

English: Students read a Scope article and started a text-evidence worksheet. Students need to have it finished for tomorrow. AR is due March 7th.

7th Period English: Students worked on their plays. Start working on memorizing your lines. We will present on Friday. AR is due March 7th.

Geography:  Students continued on their Hungry Planet notes, vocab and discussion. Current Event (due March 3rd). No homework!

Math:   Took an oral multiplication facts quiz. Graded 6-1 homework. Went over section 6-2. Homework.

Pre-Algebra: Students took the chapter 6 Formative Assessment.

Science:  Today we had a guest speaker, Bill Ballou, talk to the students about polio and the iron lung.  Bill brought his iron lung to the classroom!  We also reviewed by playing Kahoot.  Students have received a study guide.  Respiratory system test will be tomorrow, February 8th.  Study!

English: Students watched Tuck Everlasting in class. No homework.

7th Period English: Students started working on their plays. Start working on memorizing your lines. 

Geography:  Students worked on an introductory worksheet to the 12 countries we will be studying in the Hungry Planet unit. No homework!

Math:   Went over the FA. Took a brief Pre-Assessment on chapter 6. Went over section 6-1. Homework.

Pre-Algebra: Went over 6-7 homework. Students reviewed for the FA. Formative Assessment for Chapter 6 will be tomorrow the 7th.

Science:  Students performed a lab to test their vital capacity.  Students have received a study guide. Respiratory system test will be Wednesday, February 8th.  Study!

English: Students presented their projects today. No homework.

7th Period English: Students discussed their answers for the Scope activity. We also discussed student plays.

Geography:  Students went over their North America tests and had an opportunity to work with their partner to correct their stations packet from last week. No homework!

Math:   Took the 4-8 to 4-10 Formative Assessment. No homework over the weekend.

Pre-Algebra: Students went over the 6-6 homework. Learned section 6-7. Homework tonight. Formative Assessment for Chapter 6 will be Tuesday the 7th.

Science:  Students either finished yesterday's lab report or watched a respiratory system video.  All students received a study guide.  They were given time to fill out their study guide during class today.  Study over the weekend because our respiratory system test will be Wednesday, February 8th.  Study!

English: Students worked on their Tuck projects. Projects are due on Monday.

7th Period English: Students read a Scholastic Scope article. No homework. 

Geography:  Students continued on the Central America and the Caribbean Station activity. Today is the last day! Ask them how it went! :)  No homework!

Science:  Students took some more notes over the respiratory system.  We also learned how the diaphragm helps us breathe using a model of the respiratory system.  No homework.

English: Today we talked about our projects. We have a quiz tomorrow and study guides are due tomorrow.

7th Period English: Students presented their Tuck projects and we started the movie. 

Geography:  Students took a test over the North America unit today! No homework!

Science:  Students took notes over the respiratory system.  No homework.

English: Vocab was due today. We finished reading Tuck Everlasting. There will be a quiz on Wednesday and study guides are due on Wednesday.

7th Period English: Students presented their Tuck projects.

Geography:  Students had some time to work on their study guide in class and ask questions. We then ended the period with a Jeo-pardy study game. The study guide was handed out to them Thursday of last week for the North America test. Test is tomorrow- 101 points. Encourage them to work through the study guide and STUDY!!

English: Students read Ch. 22-23 in class. Students have a vocabulary activity as homework that is due on Monday.

7th Period English: Students worked on their Tuck projects. Projects will be presented on Monday.

Geography:  Students practiced Student Led-Parent Teacher Conference procedures, stuffed PTC folders, and checked grades. A study guide was handed out to them Thursday for the North America test on Tuesday, January 31st. Encourage them to work through it and study!

Science:  Students reviewed for tomorrow's test by playing Kahoot.  A study guide has been handed out and the test will be tomorrow: Friday, January 27th.

English: Students had a quiz over Ch. 16-21 and a literature circle. No homework.

7th Period English: Students worked on their Tuck projects. Projects will be presented on Monday.

Geography:  Students participated in an activity that demonstrated supply and demand. Ask your student how it went today. A study guide was handed out to them today for the North America test on Tuesday, January 31st. Encourage them work through it and study!

Pre-Algebra: Students stuffed portfolios and went over the 5-7 worksheet.  The Chapter 5 test will be Thursday.

Science:  Students learned about their pulse and circulatory system wellness.  A study guide has been handed out and the test will be this Friday, January 27th.  Remember to return your signed blood typing permission form, if you are interested in participating in this opportunity (optional).  Blood typing will happen Wednesday, January 25th.  

English: Students read Ch. 18-19 in class. Students can work on their study guide to #14 in the after you read.

7th Period English: Students finished reading Tuck Everlasting today. We will have a quiz tomorrow on Ch. 22- Epilogue. There's also a study guide check tomorrow.

Science:  Students learned their blood type if a permission form was turned in.  We also watched some videos today about the circulatory system.  A study guide has been handed out and the test will be this Friday, January 27th.  Study!

Math:   Students took the chapter 7 test.   The vocabulary activities are due Monday, the spelling quiz will be Monday as well.

Pre-Algebra: Students took the vocabulary quiz, handed in the vocab activitis and then jumped into lesson 5-4.  Students may have had homework.  The vocabulary activities are due Friday, the spelling quiz will be Friday as well.

Science:  Students finished our frog dissection lab.  No homework.

English: Students and read Ch. 9-10 and are to complete the study guide for Tuck Everlasting. Students have a vocab sheet that is due on Monday. 

7th Period English: Students took a quiz. 

Geography:  Students caught up on current events by watching CNN student news. They also had the period to work on their maps and current event assignment for 3rd quarter. The North America Maps are due on Friday (today) for 50 points. Students are more than welcome to take home a textbook if they need to finish it up!

Math:   Students went over a few problems from the homework, reviewed 7-1 - 7-5 and then checked out 7-10.    The chapter 7 test is Friday.   The vocabulary activities are due Monday, the spelling quiz will be Monday as well.

Pre-Algebra:  Students continued lesson 5-3.  Students may have had homework.  The vocabulary activities are due Friday, the spelling quiz will be Friday as well.

Science:  Students continued our frog dissection lab.  No homework.

English: Students had Flapjack Fandango and read Ch. 7-8 in Tuck Everlasting. Students have a vocab sheet that is due on Monday. 

7th Period English: Students checked their vocab. We had Flapjack Fandango and read Ch. 11-15 in Tuck. There is a quiz tomorrow. 

Geography:  Students started notes over the North America unit. The North America Maps will be due on Friday for 50 points. Students are more than welcome to take home a textbook if they need to finish it up!

Math:   Students went over the 7-6 & 7-7 and then looked at lessons 7-8 and 7-9.  For 7-8, do 5-7, 9-11, 13.  For 7-9, do 2-4, 6-8, 9-11 and 14.  The chapter 7 test is Friday.   The vocabulary activities are due Monday, the spelling quiz will be Monday as well.

Math:   Students were introduced to the Term 2 Vocabulary Words.  The spelling quiz will be Monday, January 16.  Two of the vocabulary activities will be due that day as well.  We then went over 7-5 and kids are to complete the RTGO? page 404 problems for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:  Students went over 5-1 and jumped into lesson 5-2.  Students may have had homework.

Science:  Students began our frog dissection lab.  No homework.

English: Students read Ch. 3-4 in Tuck. Vocab was due today. Students can work on questions 1-12 in after you read in their study guide.  

7th Period English: Students need to read Ch. 4-6 in Tuck and complete the study guide pg. 1-3. There is a quiz tomorrow over Ch. 1-6 in Tuck. Vocab will be on the quiz. 

Geography:  Students worked on their political and physical maps of North America. They will be due on Friday for 50 points.

Math:   Students took a mult fact quiz, graded problems from 7-1 - 7-4.  They also looked at their HSS project.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:  Students took a mult fact quiz, graded problems from the AYR and then jumped into 5-1.  Complete the homework for Monday.

Science:  Students observed their Petri dish once again to see how our contamination lab is progressing.  We also continued learning about the immune system.  No homework.

English: Students read Prologue- Ch. 3 in Tuck. They need to complete their vocabulary paper for Monday. 

7th Period English: Students got a preview of Tuck Everlasting. They need to read Prologue - Ch. 3 and complete the vocabulary. 

Geography:  Students worked on their Current Event assignment. If they did not finish they can always work on it. It is due March 3rd. Ask your student what current event they are focusing on and why? No homework!

Math:   Students went over lessons 7-1 - 7-4 and took notes  The homework is:  7-1: 1,2,4,5,6 (just answer the question) and 7 & 8.  7-2: 6,8,12.  7-3: 1-3, 7,8,16.  7-4: 1-3, 6-8 and 11.

Pre-Algebra:  Students went over the Chapter 4 test, handed back and went over the HSS and then had time to work on the AYR at the beginning of Chapter 5.

Science:  Students learned about their immune system by taking some notes.  We also observed our Petri dish to see how our contamination lab is going.  No homework.

English: Students received their Tuck books, study guides, and vocab activities. Vocab is due on Monday. Otherwise, no homework. :)

7th Period English: Students took notes over capitalization and punctuation. No homework :)

Geography:  Students watched CNN student news today in preparation for the current event work day tomorrow. This gives them the opportunity to pick an interesting and educational current event for their assignment. No homework!

Math:   Students were introduced to Mr. Kuecker who is Mr. Sanny's student teacher for the next 8 weeks.  We then asked some questions to let Mr. Kuecker get to know the kids.  As time allowed, we watched a few more OK GO videos to emphasize the importance of practice and preparation to be more successful.

Geography:  Students were welcomed back with a Jeopardy game. No homework!
