Math:  Students went over their packets, and went over lessons 7-4 and 7-5. Complete the homework from both lessons for tomorrow.  Be working on your Term 2 Vocab Activities.  They are due TOMORROW at the beginning of class.

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over the RTGO?  We then went over lesson 5-5.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.  Be working on your Term 2 Vocab Activities.  They are due TOMORROW at the beginning of class.

Science:  Students reviewed for tomorrow's test over the circulatory system by playing Jeopardy.  A study guide has been handed out.  Study!  Chapter 23 packet which was assigned last Thursday is also due tomorrow.

English:  Students read Tuck Everlasting Ch 5 - Ch 6 in class and we checked vocab worksheets.   Study guide Ch 1-6 is due on Friday.  Quiz on Friday over Ch. 1 - 6.  AR is due in 41 days!

7th Period English:  We learned 13 of the 50 words every middle school student should know. Students have 13 word cards to do as homework (due Monday). AR is due in 41 days!

Geography:    Students continued work on their political and physical maps.  Maps will be due on Friday for 50 points.  No homework.

Math:  Students turned in their packet, had a quick review over 7-2.  Students then received another packet over lesson 7-1 & 7-3.  It will be due tomorrow at the beginning of class.  Be working on your Term 2 Vocab Activities.  They are due Friday at the beginning of class.

Pre-Algebra:   Students graded lesson 5-4.  We then went over lesson 5-5.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.  Be working on your Term 2 Vocab Activities.  They are due Friday at the beginning of class.

Science:  Students learned their own blood type if a parent permission form was turned in.  The blood type results will be laminated and given to the student later this week.  A study guide has been handed out.  A test over the circulatory system is this Friday.  Chapter 23 packet which was assigned last Thursday is also due Friday.

English:  Students read Tuck Everlasting Ch 3 - Ch 4 in class. Vocab is due on tomorrow and students can use dictionaries.  Study guide Ch 1-6 is due on Friday.  Quiz on Friday over Ch. 1 - 6.  AR is due in 42 days!

Math:  Students turned in their homework, had a quick review and then took the FA 3D.  Students then received a packet over lesson 7-2.  It will be due tomorrow at the beginning of class.  Be working on your Term 2 Vocab Activities.  They are due Friday at the beginning of class.

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over lesson 5-4.  The homework will be due tomorrow at the beginning of class.  Be working on your Term 2 Vocab Activities.  They are due Friday at the beginning of class.

Science:  Students finished taking notes over the circulatory system.  A study guide has been handed out.  Test of the circulatory system is this Friday.   Chapter 23 packet which was assigned last Thursday is also due Friday.

English:  Students read Tuck Everlasting Prologue - Ch 2 in class. We will read most of the book in class.  Vocab is due on Thursday.  Study guide Ch 1-6 is due on Friday.  Quiz on Friday over Ch. 1 - 6.  AR is due in 43 Days!

Math:  We went over the FA 3C and had a plicker review for tomorrow's FA 3D.  For homework do:  page 168:  5, 14, 23, 24 and page 202: 20 and 33.  Students also received the Term 2 Vocabulary Activities.  They are due Friday.  We will take the spelling quiz over the words then.

Pre-Algebra:   We went over questions on the Dimensional Analysis packet and then did a Plicker quiz.  Students also received the Term 2 Vocabulary Activities.  They are due Friday.  We will take the spelling quiz over the words then.

Science:  Students got to observe a real heart (sheep heart).  A study guide has been handed out.  The Circulatory System Test will be this Friday, January 22nd.  The Ch 23 packet that was assigned last Thursday is due Friday the 22nd as well.  Textbooks can be taken home in order to finish this assignment. 

English: Students were introduced to Tuck Everlasting. Vocab is due on Thursday. Study guide is due on Friday. No homework for tonight! AR is due in 44 days.

Math:  We graded 3-4, had a quick review and then took the FA 3C over decimals.  We will have another FA on Tuesday, dealing with just story problems and decimals.  For practice, do:  page 168: 5, 14, 23, 24 and 29 as well as page 202: 20, 33.

Pre-Algebra:   We finished lesson 5-3.  Students finally have homework.

Science:  Students learned how blood moves through the body.  We performed a skit and took some notes.  A study guide was handed out today.  The Circulatory System Test will be Friday, January 22nd.  The Ch 23 packet that was assigned yesterday is due Friday the 22nd as well.  Textbooks can be taken home in order to finish this assignment. 

English: Students typed their timed writing essay today. No homework! AR is due in 46 days.

Geography:    Today students compiled HP demographics onto a data sheet.  They answered critical thinking questions also.  Homework over the weekend is to study HP vocabulary- Vocab quiz will be Monday!

Science:  Students created a paper model of a heart.  It is labeled and intended to be used as a study flashcard.  No homework.

Math:  We went over the homework and then took an assessment over fractions.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   We went over  5-1 and then jumped into lesson 5-2.  Complete the homework for Monday.

Science:  Students completed a 2-sided worksheet about the 11 human body systems using Google Classroom.  No homework, unless the 2-sided worksheet wasn't finished in class.

English: Students started writing their rough draft for their descriptive essay. They do not need to finish all of the pre-writing activities (must complete the webs, hook, and thesis), but they do need to complete the rough draft as homework for Monday. AR is due in 53 days.

Science:  Students continued our frog dissection unit.  We made internal observations in the abdomen.  No homework.

English: Students started prewriting for their descriptive essay. They need to complete both webs, hook, and thesis for tomorrow. Most of it was done in class. AR is due in 54 days.

Pre-Algebra:   Students turned in the Holiday Shopping Spree packet and then took the Chapter 4 FA.  No homework.

Science:  Students presented their Disease Research Project.  If you didn't present today you should rehearse because you will present later this week.

English: Students read a nonfiction article in Scope about sports. We did a text evidence worksheet over the two articles. They turned in their worksheet during class. No homework.

7th Period English: Students watched the Giver movie. Giver Projects and AR is due today and students turned in their vocabulary worksheet. Giver Projects need to be printed off and NOT shared on Google Docs. 

Geography:    Today we watched a Walt Disney movie, Remember the Titans.  No homework!!

Math:  Students took a mult fact quiz and then had time to work on the Holiday Shopping Spree.  It will be due TOMORROW, December 16 at the beginning of class.

Pre-Algebra:   Students had part of the class to work on Lesson 4-8 and part to work on the Holiday Shopping Spree.  It will be due TOMORROW, December 16 at the beginning of class.  We will also be taking the Chapter 4 formative assessment tomorrow.

Science:  Students finished working on their Disease Research Project.  Projects need to be completed by tonight (you can work on it from home if you have assess to Google).  Presentations will begin tomorrow.  Rehearse!

English: Students read a nonfiction article in Scope about sports. We did a summary activity in our composition notebooks. AR is due on December 15th. 1 day!

MAP TESTING:  TODAY (afternoon)

Pre-Algebra:   Students finished Lesson 4-4.   Complete the homework for tomorrow.  We went over the details of the Holiday Shopping Spree and started working on it.  It will be due next TUESDAY, December 15 at the beginning of class.

Science:  Students either took the MAP test or began working on their Disease Research Project. Students will be given 3 class periods to finish this project.  Projects are due Wednesday, December 16th. 

English: Students did a Sherlock Holmes literary elements activity. No homework!. AR is due on December 15th. 5 days!

7th Period English: Students had a review day for their Giver Test. Test is on Monday. Giver Projects and AR is due on December 15th. 5 days!

Geography:    Test over Africa was today ( for 6th, 7th, and 9th period) or tomorrow ( for 3rd period)-due to MAP testing.  A permission slip is sent home with your student.  Please look it over and get it back to me by Monday, Dec 14th in preparation for our movie!!!!

Math:  Students turned in the review packet and the Teaching Percents Sheet.  Kids recieved the paperwork for the Holiday Shopping Spree, we will go over how to do it during next the next class.  We then took the FA 3A assessment.   No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students turned in the Teaching Percents sheet.  We then reviewed 4-3 and jumped into 4-4.   Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students gave some peer feedback on the Immune System iMovie projects.  Students then learned about the upcoming Disease Research Project.  No homework.

English: Students read Sherlock Holmes in English No homework!. Descriptive essays are due on today by 4pm. AR is due on December 15th. 6 days!

7th Period English: Students had a work day for their Giver projects. Giver Projects and AR is due on December 15th. 6 days!

Geography:   Today we studied for the Africa Test.  Test over Africa will be Dec 10th ( for 6th, 7th, and 9th period) and 11th ( for 3rd period)-due to MAP testing.  Homework tonight is to study.

Math:  We went over a Holiday Shopping Spree example, went over lesson 3-10 and then kids got a packet to review problems that will be on tomorrow's assessment.  We will be taking a Formative Assessment over fractions on tomorrow, December 9.  The Teaching Percents worksheet is due Wednesday.

Pre-Algebra:   We went over a Holiday Shopping Spree example and then went over lesson 4-2.  Complete it for tomorrow.  We then went over the chapter 11 FA and went over lesson 4-3.  There might be homework for tomorrow.  The Teaching Percents worksheet is due Wednesday.

Science:  Students finished working on their Immune System iMovie project.  Projects are due TODAY by 4:00 pm!

English: Students finished peer revisions and began typing their descriptive essays. Descriptive essays are due on Wednesday by 4pm. AR is due on December 15th. 7 days!

7th Period English: Students took a quiz over Ch. 20-23. We did a large lit circle and students need to do a reader response to their question. Giver Projects and AR is due on December 15th. 7 days!

Geography:   Today we worked on an Apartheid activity and discussed living conditions in South Africa. Test over Africa will be Dec 10th (6th, 7th, and 9th period) and 11th (3rd period)-due to MAP testing.

  NEW ROOMS TODAY!!!!!!!!!

Math:  We graded lesson 3-9.  We went over lesson 3-10.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.  We will be taking a Formative Assessment over fractions on Wednesday, December 9.  The Teaching Percents worksheet is due Wednesday.

Pre-Algebra:   We graded lesson 4-1.  We then went over lesson 4-2.  Complete it for tomorrow.  The Teaching Percents worksheet is due Wednesday.

Science:  Students continued working on their Immune System iMovie project.  One more in-class work day will be given.  Bring your props again on Tuesday if needed.  Projects are due Tuesday 4:00 pm!

LAST DAY IN OUR OLD ROOMS.  NEW ROOMS ON MONDAY!!!!!!!!!

Math:  We went over the Percent packet working out some of the harder ones.  Kids received a TEACHING PERCENTS sheet with which they need to teach someone else how to do it.  They have until Wednesday, December 9 to complete.  We also looked at lesson 3-9.  Complete it for Monday.  We will be taking a Formative Assessment over fractions on Wednesday, December 9.

Math:  We took a mult fact quiz, went over the problems from 3-6 and then learned how to find percents without a calculator.  Complete the top 2 sections of the backside of the worksheet for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:   We took a mult fact quiz, went over the problems from 3-6 and then learned how to find percents without a calculator.  Complete the rest of the worksheet for tomorrow.

Science:  Students completed their contamination lab report.  Students also were given directions for the iMovie Immune System Project.  Bring props for this project tomorrow!

English: Students started their rough draft for descriptive essay. Students need to complete through body paragraph #2 on their rough draft for their homework. AR is due on December 15th. 12 days!

7th Period English: Students read chapters 18-19 in The Giver. There will be a quiz over Ch. 16-19 and a big lit circle tomorrow. Giver Projects and AR is due on December 15th. 12 days!

Geography:   Today we took notes over Africa.  Students will have some time on Friday to finish up any work they have on maps.  Maps are due on Friday for 50 points.  Test over Africa will be Dec 10th and 11th.

Math:  We talked about the penny, graded the homework from 3-7 and 3-8.  We then went over how to estimate multiplication and division.  Do the second line of homework problems from .

Pre-Algebra:   We talked about the penny, and went over lesson 12-1.  We then talked about 12-2.  No homework.

Science:  Students took notes over the immune system.  No homework. 

English: Students started brainstorming for their descriptive essay. Students need to complete paragraph two transition, topic sentence, and supporting details for tomorrow. AR is due on December 15th. 13 days!

7th Period English: Students did their Lit. Circle over Ch. 11-15 and took a quiz over Ch. 11-15. Students need to read Ch. 16-17 for tomorrow. AR is due on December 15th. 13 days!

Geography:   Today we worked on an Africa physical map!  Maps are due on Friday for 50 points.

Math:  We talked about Cyber Monday, went over 3-7 and 3-8.  See Mr. Sanny for the problems you are to do for homework for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:   We talked about Cyber Monday, and jumped into lesson 12-1.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students performed a lab to study contamination.  No homework. 

English: Students looked at different descriptive essay examples. No homework.

7th Period English: Students did their Lit. Circle over Ch. 6-10. Students have a quiz tomorrow over Ch. 11-15 and a Lit. Circle over Ch. 11-15.

Geography:   Today we worked on an Africa political map!  Maps are due on Friday for 50 points.
