Math: Student graded the homework from lesson 3-2 and then covered lesson 3-3. Complete problems 32-36 from lesson 3-2 and then the problems from the green sheet.
Pre-Algebra: Students continued reviewing chapter 11. Ask your student if he or she has homework. We will take the Formative Assessment over chapter 11 on Friday.
Geography: Started class with the Ticket In (homework yesterday). We worked on evaluating country statistics today: Life expectancy, obesity rates, cost of food. No homework tonight.
English: Read Tuck Everlasting. Complete ch. 11-12 and the study guide questions. You need to keep up on your study guide. It will be graded every Friday for completion. There is a quiz on Friday, also. Vocabulary sheet is due on Thursday at the beginning of class.

Math: Students went over the estimation of decimals and then practiced adding and subtracting decimals. Complete the homework from lesson 3-2. We will have a formative assessment over decimals on Friday.
Pre-Algebra: Students continued working in chapter 11. Students had a review worksheet, due tomorrow. We will take the Formative Assessment over chapter 11 on Friday.
Geography: Hungry Planet Unit-Continue families/notes. The students were given a "Ticket-In" sheet as homework. They will have to talk to whomever does the grocery shopping and get a list of food for a week and compare it to a family from Hungry Planet.
English: Read Tuck Everlasting. Complete ch. 9-10 and the study guide questions. You need to keep up on your study guide. It will be graded every Friday for completion. There is a quiz on Friday, also. Vocabulary sheet is due on Thursday at the beginning of class.

Science: We reviewed the classroom activity that showed a father determines the gender of a baby, not the mother. Students were introduced to a Punnett Square and probability in genetics.

Activities include basketball, volleyball, ping pong, board games, karaoke, face painting, bingo, and more! $5 admission—snacks, pizza, and baked goods also for sale. Please join us! (All school rules apply.)
Math: Students discussed the Million Calorie Food Drive, which starts Monday and then began discussing how to convert between Fraction, Decimals and Percents.
Pre-Algebra: Students reviewed important terms from yesterday and discussed the Million Calorie Food Drive, which begins Monday.
Geography: Chapter 3 Culture. What If? Activity and classroom discussion about culture. Climate Zone Posters are DUE on FRIDAY by 4pm. Homework: Sections 1-4 Vocabulary due on Friday by 4pm.

Science: Students made cheese in the science lab to demonstrate how proteins can work. In this case the protein was an enzyme that broke up the milk into curds and whey. DNA is the code for making protein!
