FYI: Your AR goal is due FEBRUARY 27 which is different than what was previously announced.
Math: Students
went over the homework from 7-10. We then reviewed for the Formative Assessment which is tomorrow. Complete problems 4,5 6, 10, 11, 14, 16, 17, 19, 20 on page 436.
Pre-Algebra: Students reviewed for the Chapter test which will be tomorrow. Ask your student if he or she has homework.
Geography: Canada TEST today! 70 points total. No homework.
English: Descriptive Writing. Steps 7-9 in the Descriptive Writing Packet are due for tomorrow. We will write rough drafts tomorrow in class. Make sure your packet is ready to go tomorrow!! These packets will also be saved and shown to parents at conferences.

Pre-Algebra: Students reviewed for the Chapter test which will be now on Thursday.
Geography: Study Games over Canada. They can come in after school and pick up the study games. There are also TWO moodle practice quizzes available online for extra help. Homework tonight is to start studying for the Canada test (over notes, maps, vocab, and moodle practice quizzes). Test over Chapter 5 Canada is Wednesday.
English: Descriptive Writing. Steps 5-7 in the Descriptive Writing Packet are due for tomorrow.

Math: Students graded the packet and continued in chapter 7 by reviewing populations, samples and what it means to be biased. We also looked at scatter plots and what type of correlation there might be. Complete problems 7-8: 5 - 8 and 13. 7-9: 2 - 4, 6 - 11.

English: Read Tuck Everlasting. Final Quiz over Tuck Everlasting. On Monday, we will take the final test. Parent permission forms for the movie that we will watch on Tuesday and Wednesday are due on Monday by 4:00. If the student does not have a signed form, they cannot watch the movie. Geography: Our final day of Hungry Planet. The student picked a country of their choice to compare to the 12 we studied in the HP unit. No homework. We will be moving on to Canada next.

Geography: Hungry Planet Unit-Continue families/notes. The students were given a "Ticket-In" sheet as homework. They will have to talk to whomever does the grocery shopping and get a list of food for a week and compare it to a family from Hungry Planet.

Activities include basketball, volleyball, ping pong, board games, karaoke, face painting, bingo, and more! $5 admission—snacks, pizza, and baked goods also for sale. Please join us! (All school rules apply.)
Math: Students discussed the Million Calorie Food Drive, which starts Monday and then began discussing how to convert between Fraction, Decimals and Percents.
Pre-Algebra: Students reviewed important terms from yesterday and discussed the Million Calorie Food Drive, which begins Monday.
Geography: Chapter 3 Culture. What If? Activity and classroom discussion about culture. Climate Zone Posters are DUE on FRIDAY by 4pm. Homework: Sections 1-4 Vocabulary due on Friday by 4pm.

Math: Students reviewed adding integers and then learned how to subtract integers. Complete the problems from lesson 2-3. We will have a quiz over adding/subtracting/multiplying and dividing integers on Friday.
Pre-Algebra: Students got back their Formative Assessment over Chapter1. Students will begin Chapter 2. Students will complete the homework problems from section 2-1.
Geography: Moodle. Checking for understanding and proficiency. We will begin Landforms on Tuesday. Landform word search is due on Friday.
English: Action Verbs. Exercise one. Word Parts notes and complete chart in class.
Science: Study for tomorrow's test! Students received a study guide and we filled it out in class last Wednesday. Today we did a review activity.
