Math: Students graded turned in lesson 2-6 homework and covered lesson 2-7. Students had time in class to complete the homework. If they didn't get done, finish it for tomorrow.
Pre-Algebra: Students went over problems from lesson 2-3 and lesson 2-4. We then looked at solving one step equations involving addition or subtraction. No homework.
Science: Went over the generations activity. Wednesday we started the "Marshmallow baby" activity. You will finish this activity on Friday. Science current event summaries were due this Wednesday October 7th.
English: Prepositions in class today. Homework: AR reminders need to be signed and returned. Short story final copies are due on Friday. WRITE Activity #2 due Friday.
Geography: Started on Landform Books. Landform Books will be due October 16th. (Lat&Long test-if below 70% can retake, take the average of the two tests, test retakes have to be done by Friday.) No homework!

Math: Students took a mult fact quiz, went over current grades and missing work and assigned homework from lesson 2-5. It will be due tomorrow.
Pre-Algebra: Students took a mult fact quiz, went over the distributive property, lesson 2-3 and lesson 2-4.
Science: Did the male/female activity. Science current event summaries are due this Wednesday October 7th.

Science: Took cell quiz and the DNA pretest.
English: We took our quiz over Adjectives. Homework: Read AR books. Students were able to go to the library at the end of class to make sure they have enough AR reading material over the weekend!!
Geography: Latitude and Longitude: Checked WS from yesterday and then started a partner activity called Absolutely Correct! Students are asked to finish the absolutely correct worksheet at home for homework. They have an atlas in the front of their planner that works well. Plan on a Latitude and Longitude TEST later next week.

Pre-Algebra: Students reviewed problems from the Standardized Test Prep. We then went over lesson 1-7 and given the problems to work on during class with a partner. If they finished, no homework.
Science: Class was in the computer lab 119 doing an activity on the website, "Cells Alive."
English: We learned about transitive and intransitive verbs today. Homework tonight is to complete the worksheet on transitive and intransitive verbs.
Geography: Map activity due today. Study guide over parts of a map. Tonight's homework is to study for the quiz tomorrow. Quiz over parts of a map Friday!!!!!

Pre-Algebra: Students reviewed problems from lesson 1-6. We then went over lesson 1-7 and assigned the homework problems which will be due tomorrow.
Science: Went over the Plant/animal cells lab and started the cell notes. Thursday's class is in the computer lab 119.
English: Students had the opportunity to retake the Noun and Pronoun Test. We also completed the Verb Pretest in class. Homework: Read 20 minutes of AR reading.
Geography: Map Activity, create your own map continued today! Maps are due tomorrow. Homework is to finish map. Quiz over parts of a map Friday!!!!!

Math: Students reviewed chapter 1, discussed a few things from lesson 1-9 and then were assigned homework from the Problem Solving Practice on page 33 and Checkpoint 2 on page 38. Those problems will be due tomorrow.
Pre-Algebra: Students went over problems from lesson 1-5 and were assigned homework from lesson 1-6 which will be due tomorrow.
Science: Plant/animal cells lab.
English: We reviewed pronouns and antecedents. Students will have an opportunity to take another Noun & Pronoun Test tomorrow if they would like to raise their grades. The two test grades will be averaged. Tests will go home with students on Thursday. Homework: Complete the pronoun paragraph and study for optional test tomorrow.

Science: Did the number cube activity to go over observations and inferences.

Math - Students went over how to graph 2 variable equations and watched a video that reviewed fractions.
Pre-Algebra - Students went over more sine, cosine and tangent and worked on another worksheet.
English - Today students wrote a paragraph recommending the book or the movie. It was collected at the end of class. Students can come in after school to finish if they didn't get done. Book points are due on Monday, May 18th.
GEOGRAPHY - Handed in textbooks and reviewed the states and capital by playing a game!!!

Math - Students were given a set of worksheets and are to finish all activities in the rock band packet. Both are due tomorrow. Students were given the entire class period to work on these, so there shouldn't be too much homework.

English - Outsiders: In class the students chose 5 vocabulary words and used each in a sentence for their journal assignment. We then listened to chapter 6. Homework is to read their AR books.

Math - Students assessed 6-4. Grade based on completion. Started naming all the polygons. Filled out a notes sheet that helps us remember the names of the different polygons. Focused on the Quadrilateral and the different classifications, also on the worksheet. Assigned 7-6 for Monday. We will have a quiz on Monday.

Math - Students checked 6-10 Homework. Discussed the homework and discussed proportions and the rate of change. Assigned 6-11 bookwork (pg 278, #1-10 & 21-28).
Pre-Algebra - Students went over the checkpoint 2. We then discussed lesson 7-8 and worked on the homework
English -- Today we watched a video on the 60's as an intro to "The Outsiders" unit. We also began reading about the author and will finish it on Monday. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind in your AR.
GEOGRAPHY - Worked on Culture Fair presentations today. We will work on them all week. Friday March 27th is the last day students will have class time to work on their presentation. We will begin presenting the presentations on March 30th. Students are recommended to purchase a presentation board (Hobby Lobby, any color, I think they are on sale as far as I know), but they are able to work on a powerpoint; which ever works for them. **Students have signed up for days to present starting March 30th. Math - Students went over 6-7 assignment. Reviewed Fraction to Decimal to Percents. Discussed 6-9 in finding missing information from a fraction to a percent. Assigned a worksheet.
Pre-Algebra - Students graded the 7-6 homework. We then went over lesson 7-7 and assigned homework from that lesson.
English -- Today we finished reading "Ribbons". Complete the packet tonight. We will have time tomorrow to finish the plot line in class. A quiz over "Ribbons" will be tomorrow. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind in your AR.

Math - Students went over more "best buys" and were assigned homework from lesson 6-2.
Pre-Algebra - Students graded lessons 7-1 & 7-2 and were assigned problems from 7-3.
English -- Today we finished our writing assessment. It is time to start working on AR points for 4th term. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind.

Science -Analyzing our healthful survey. Tuesday 3rd period is in the media center, the other periods are in 119.
Math - Students went over the metric measurement quiz and discussed lesson 6-1. Complete the homework for tomorrow.
Pre-Algebra - Students went over last week's homework and worked on the skills you need for chapter 7.
English -- Today we went over last week's writing, continued preparing for the writing assessment tomorrow, and began a new story for this week. It is time to start working on AR points for 4th term. Read 30 minutes every night so you don't fall behind.
GEOGRAPHY - Studied for the test. Test is Tuesday, March 10th. Homework for tonight is to STUDY!! The jeopardy game will be on Moodle for you to use.

Science - Media center on Monday. Thursday we took a survey on how healthy are behaviors are.
Math - Students measured aspects of their body, read excerpts of The Da Vinci Code and saw how their measurements related to the number Phi.

English -- Today we finished practicing for next week's writing assessment. Third term AR points were due today. Get started on your points for 4th term over the weekend.
