Science: Your first science current event is due, Wed. September 5th, if you are not done with this yet, you will have to this Friday to hand this in. Today we worked from the computer on the site, "Cells Alive". Thursday's class is in 208.

Math - Students went to the computer lab and completed the KPS Assessment over graphing.

English - We journaled and practiced making nouns plural and possessive. Tonight, complete two of our four reading strategies while reading 20-30 minutes.

GEOGRAPHY: Used latitude and longitude to locate places on a map. Completed practice worksheet in class.

Science: Your first science current event is due, Wed. September 5th. Today we went over the plant and animal cell activity and viewed a video on cells. Wed's class is in the media center.
Math - Students turned in lesson 1-4 and then went to the computer lab to learn how to graph, in order to get ready for a KPS Assessment which will be tomorrow.

English - We took spelling pre-test #3 and practiced making nouns plural and possessive. Tonight, complete two of our four reading strategies while reading 20-30 minutes. Finish worksheet if needed.

GEOGRAPHY: Discussed latitude and longitude and hemispheres. Started Notes in class.

Math - We graded lessons 1-1 & 1-2 and then went over the information in lesson 1-3. No homework tonight. Don't forget the Birth Announcement project will be due TOMORROW Friday, Aug 31 at the beginning of class.

Math - Students graded the homework, and checked to see how many of the 20 items they could remember from Friday. For homework, do problems from 7-2: Complete problems 1 - 4, 5 - 8 (just classify as acute, right or obtuse) and 14 - 20, 23, 24 for Tuesday.

English - In class students discussed vocabulary for chapters 10-12. Finish writing sentences and read chapters 10-11 for Tuesday.

Science-We will be in lab 113 all week. Today we observed our bacteria experiments and found out the reasons why we aren't always sick, and learned how the immune system works.

Math- Students continued the BIG Holiday Shopping Spree project with figuring percent of numbers in their head. Finish what Mr. Sanny said to on the practice worksheet for tomorrow. Make sure you are working on the write up describing who and what you would like to buy. As of right now it is due Monday.

English - Students gave book talks and read "A Christmas Wish". Pre-reading activities were completed in class. Book talks will continue during the week.

GEOGRAPHY: Read p. 65 - 68 in the textbook. Discussed and wrote descriptions of high latitude, dry and highland climates.

Science-We will be in lab 113 all week. Today we observed our bacteria experiments and found out the reasons why we aren't always sick.

Math- Students went over the Quest (Quiz / Test) over lessons 3-1 - 3-5. We kicked off the BIG Holiday Shopping Spree project with a writing activity. See your student (and the sheet with the description) for details. It will be due Monday at the beginning of class.

English - Students gave book talks and read "A Christmas Wish". Pre-reading activities were completed in class. Book talks will continue during the week.

GEOGRAPHY: Students were given a handout/chart for the various climates. Read and discussed Mid-Latitude Climates.

Science-We will be in lab 113 all week. Today we set-up our bacteria experiments.

Math- Students took a mult fact quiz and reviewed for a Quest (Quiz / Test) which is tomorrow over lessons 3-1 - 3-5.

English - Students journaled and went over compound subjects and compound verbs. A worksheet was assigned, and we will go over it tomorrow. Book talks will continue during the week.

GEOGRAPHY: Finished chapter 2 section 2 notes. Questions 2 - 8 on p. 59. Quiz over section 1 - 2 tomorrow.
