Math:   Mr. Sanny went over how to do some of the math for the Birth Announcement Project.  It will be due Thursday, August 27th at the beginning of class.  Start collecting information about your birth.  We then jumped into Lesson 1 in Module 1. No homework from the book.

Science:  Geology on Mars 1.1 continued.  We used our interactive notebook to fill in information as we discussed it.  We did the Rocky Planets investigation.  The sheet is on google classroom for you to complete the activity.

English:  Students learned about memoirs and started brainstorming for their 6 Word Memoir. Students have an Expectations Contract that needs to be signed and turned in by Friday, August 21st.

Geography:  Today we worked 10min on flags, created a mental map of the world, organized geography folders, and got on to Google Classroom. The self flags are due Friday. 

**Also, just a quick reminder to help your student's charge their chromebooks at home.

MATH STUDENTS who have missed school:  Go to the website  embarc (click here or go to Mr. Sanny's website for the link) and navigate to the module and lesson you missed.  You can watch a video of someone teaching that lesson.  The book they use might be slightly different than ours, but it should be pretty close.
