Math:  Students turned in the Holiday Shopping Spree packet and then learned some math tricks and watched some cool videos.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students turned in the Holiday Shopping Spree packet and then took the Chapter 4 FA.  No homework.

Science:  Students presented their Disease Research Project.  If you didn't present today you should rehearse because you will present later this week.

English: Students read a nonfiction article in Scope about sports. We did a text evidence worksheet over the two articles. They turned in their worksheet during class. No homework.

7th Period English: Students watched the Giver movie. Giver Projects and AR is due today and students turned in their vocabulary worksheet. Giver Projects need to be printed off and NOT shared on Google Docs. 

Geography:    Today we watched a Walt Disney movie, Remember the Titans.  No homework!!

Math:  Students took a mult fact quiz and then had time to work on the Holiday Shopping Spree.  It will be due TOMORROW, December 16 at the beginning of class.

Pre-Algebra:   Students had part of the class to work on Lesson 4-8 and part to work on the Holiday Shopping Spree.  It will be due TOMORROW, December 16 at the beginning of class.  We will also be taking the Chapter 4 formative assessment tomorrow.

Science:  Students finished working on their Disease Research Project.  Projects need to be completed by tonight (you can work on it from home if you have assess to Google).  Presentations will begin tomorrow.  Rehearse!

Math:  Students had the entire class to work on the Holiday Shopping Spree.  It will be due WEDNESDAY, December 16 at the beginning of class.

Pre-Algebra:   Students had part of the class to work on Lesson 4-6 and part to work on the Holiday Shopping Spree.  It will be due WEDNESDAY, December 16 at the beginning of class.

Science:  Students continued working on their Disease Research Project.  Students will be given one more class period to finish this.  Projects are due Wednesday, December 16th. 

English: Students read a nonfiction article in Scope about sports. We did a summary activity in our composition notebooks. AR is due on December 15th. 1 day!

7th Period English: Students had their Giver Test today. Giver Projects and AR is due on December 15th. 1 day! Giver Projects need to be printed off and NOT shared on Google Docs. 

Geography:    Today we watched a Walt Disney movie, Remember the Titans.  No homework!!

MAP TESTING:  TODAY (afternoon)

Pre-Algebra:   Students finished Lesson 4-4.   Complete the homework for tomorrow.  We went over the details of the Holiday Shopping Spree and started working on it.  It will be due next TUESDAY, December 15 at the beginning of class.

Science:  Students either took the MAP test or began working on their Disease Research Project. Students will be given 3 class periods to finish this project.  Projects are due Wednesday, December 16th. 

English: Students did a Sherlock Holmes literary elements activity. No homework!. AR is due on December 15th. 5 days!

7th Period English: Students had a review day for their Giver Test. Test is on Monday. Giver Projects and AR is due on December 15th. 5 days!

Geography:    Test over Africa was today ( for 6th, 7th, and 9th period) or tomorrow ( for 3rd period)-due to MAP testing.  A permission slip is sent home with your student.  Please look it over and get it back to me by Monday, Dec 14th in preparation for our movie!!!!

Math:  Students turned in the review packet and the Teaching Percents Sheet.  Kids recieved the paperwork for the Holiday Shopping Spree, we will go over how to do it during next the next class.  We then took the FA 3A assessment.   No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students turned in the Teaching Percents sheet.  We then reviewed 4-3 and jumped into 4-4.   Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students gave some peer feedback on the Immune System iMovie projects.  Students then learned about the upcoming Disease Research Project.  No homework.

English: Students read Sherlock Holmes in English No homework!. Descriptive essays are due on today by 4pm. AR is due on December 15th. 6 days!

7th Period English: Students had a work day for their Giver projects. Giver Projects and AR is due on December 15th. 6 days!

Geography:   Today we studied for the Africa Test.  Test over Africa will be Dec 10th ( for 6th, 7th, and 9th period) and 11th ( for 3rd period)-due to MAP testing.  Homework tonight is to study.

Math:  We went over a Holiday Shopping Spree example, went over lesson 3-10 and then kids got a packet to review problems that will be on tomorrow's assessment.  We will be taking a Formative Assessment over fractions on tomorrow, December 9.  The Teaching Percents worksheet is due Wednesday.

Pre-Algebra:   We went over a Holiday Shopping Spree example and then went over lesson 4-2.  Complete it for tomorrow.  We then went over the chapter 11 FA and went over lesson 4-3.  There might be homework for tomorrow.  The Teaching Percents worksheet is due Wednesday.

Science:  Students finished working on their Immune System iMovie project.  Projects are due TODAY by 4:00 pm!

English: Students finished peer revisions and began typing their descriptive essays. Descriptive essays are due on Wednesday by 4pm. AR is due on December 15th. 7 days!

7th Period English: Students took a quiz over Ch. 20-23. We did a large lit circle and students need to do a reader response to their question. Giver Projects and AR is due on December 15th. 7 days!

Geography:   Today we worked on an Apartheid activity and discussed living conditions in South Africa. Test over Africa will be Dec 10th (6th, 7th, and 9th period) and 11th (3rd period)-due to MAP testing.

LAST DAY IN OUR OLD ROOMS.  NEW ROOMS ON MONDAY!!!!!!!!!

Math:  We went over the Percent packet working out some of the harder ones.  Kids received a TEACHING PERCENTS sheet with which they need to teach someone else how to do it.  They have until Wednesday, December 9 to complete.  We also looked at lesson 3-9.  Complete it for Monday.  We will be taking a Formative Assessment over fractions on Wednesday, December 9.

Pre-Algebra:   We took a mult fact quiz, went over the problems from 3-6 and then learned how to find percents without a calculator.  Complete the rest of the worksheet for tomorrow.

Science:  Students completed their contamination lab report.  Students also were given directions for the iMovie Immune System Project.  Bring props for this project tomorrow!

English: Students started their rough draft for descriptive essay. Students need to complete through body paragraph #2 on their rough draft for their homework. AR is due on December 15th. 12 days!

7th Period English: Students read chapters 18-19 in The Giver. There will be a quiz over Ch. 16-19 and a big lit circle tomorrow. Giver Projects and AR is due on December 15th. 12 days!

Math:  Students need to bring in Ads from Stores (not grocery ads).  We went over the homework from 3-6.  We then watched some videos showing how to add and subtract fractions.

Science:  Students took an open-note test over Genetics.  

English: Students presented their menus today. Menus are due in Google Classroom. No homework! Enjoy Thanksgiving :)

7th Period English: We reviewed sentence structure today. Students did some in-class assignments over complex sentences. They also received a study guide for their test on Tuesday. 

Geography:   Today students worked on compiling statistics from the Material World countries on a Country Statistics worksheet.  Students should have no homework, but ask your student if they were able to get it done in class!  Have a great break!

Science:  Students applied their knowledge of Punnett squares and "mated" their dragons to create a baby dragon.  No homework.  

English: Students reviewed their sentence structure test. Students were introduced to their Menu project. Menus are due on Tuesday. They will have time in class to work on them.

Welcome to the Team 7-4 Daily Blog
Tuesday,  November 17, 2015

Math:  Students graded 2-10, discussed the Million Calorie Food Drive and then covered lesson 2-11.  Complete problems 11 - 27 for tomorrow and BRING IN FOOD ITEMS!!

Pre-Algebra:   Students took the AMC test.  No homework, but BRING FOOD ITEMS!!

Science:  Students learned some Punnett square vocabulary.  No homework.  

English: Students played Kahoot to review for our sentence structure test. Our sentence structure test is on Wednesday. All sentence structure worksheets are due on Wednesday. Please study!


7th Period English: We reviewed sentence structure today. Students did some in-class assignments over complex sentences. They also received a study guide for their test on Tuesday. 

Geography:   Today students finished up an open note test over Religion, Government, and Economy.  Some students may have a Material World country introduction worksheet as homework.  A link for a World Map is on their Google classroom -or- feel free to search for your own!

Math:  Students discussed the Million Calorie Food Drive and then covered lesson 2-10.  Complete the homework and BRING IN FOOD ITEMS!!

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over the homework from 11-3 and then talked about the Million Calorie Food Drive.  We then started 11-4.  No homework, but BRING FOOD ITEMS!!

Science:  Students learned definitions and examples of some Genetics Vocabulary.  No homework.  

English: We worked on writing in different sentence structures. Students were given a study guide and a short worksheet. Our sentence structure test is on Wednesday. All sentence structure worksheets are due on Wednesday. Please study!


7th Period English: We reviewed sentence structure today. Students did some in-class assignments over complex sentences. They also received a study guide for their test on Tuesday.

Math:  Students graded lesson 2-9 and then talked more about the Million Calorie Food Drive, which begins Monday.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students talked about the Million Calorie Food Drive, which begins Monday.  We then  went over lesson 11-3.  Complete the problems on the homework sheet.

Science:  Students learned some examples of GMOs (genetically modified organisms).  No homework.  

English: We learned about complex sentences today. There's a short worksheet for homework. Our sentence structure test should be on Wednesday.


7th Period English: We reviewed sentence structure today. Students did some in-class assignments over complex sentences. They also received a study guide for their test on Tuesday. 

Geography:   Today we finished up our economic comparison worksheet.  Test over World Religion, Government, and Economy will be Monday, November 16th.  Homework this week will be to review the notes and work on the study guide practice that is located throughout their notes.

Math:  Students graded lesson 2-6 and then went over lessons 2-7& 2-8.  For 2-7, do 1-9, 14 and 15.  For 2-8, do 1 - 3, 7-12, 23 and 24.

Pre-Algebra:   Students graded 11-1 and went over lesson 11-2.  Complete the problems on the homework sheet.

Science:  Students took a test over DNA.  No homework.  

English: We learned about compound sentences today. Students have a short worksheet to do as homework. Several students finished in class.

Math:  Students turned in the Week 2 Vocab Activities, took the spelling quiz and then went over lesson 2-6.  Complete 1 - 16, 18 and 20 for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:   Students turned in the Week 2 Vocab Activities, took the spelling quiz and then went over lesson 11-1.  Complete the problems on the homework sheet.

Science:  Students played Space Race to review for tomorrow's test.  Use your study guide to prepare for tomorrow's test over DNA.

English: We learned about simple sentences today. Students have a short worksheet to do as homework. Several students finished in class.

Math:  Students went over the FA 2B and took a Kahoot Quiz over the Vocab Terms.  The Week 2 Vocab Activities will be due TOMORROW, November 10, which is when we will take the spelling quiz over the week 2 words.

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over the Chapter 3 FA and took a Kahoot Quiz over the Vocab Terms.  The Week 2 Vocab Activities will be due TOMORROW, November 10, which is when we will take the spelling quiz over the week 2 words.

Science:  Students extracted DNA from a strawberry.  Use your study guide to prepare for Wednesday's (Nov. 11th) test over DNA.

English: We finished writing a letter about Vivien Thomas and watched a short video. No homework.

Math:  Students turned in the review worksheet, did a quick review and then took the FA 2B.  The Week 2 Vocab Activities will be due next TUESDAY, November 10, which is when we will take the spelling quiz over the week 2 words.

Pre-Algebra:   Students took the FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT over chapter 3.  Week 2 Vocab Activities will be due next TUESDAY, November 10, which is when we will take the spelling quiz over the week 2 words.

Science:  Students did an activity to learn how DNA is used to make proteins.  Use your study guide to prepare for Wednesday's (Nov. 11th) test over DNA.

English: We finished our scope article "The Man Who Saved a Thousand Babies." We finished our vocabulary activities. We started writing a letter about Vivien Thomas. No homework.


Geography:   Today we finished-up World Religion and started on the introduction to Government.  No homework.
