Math:   Students took the assessment over lessons 17-19. No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students took the assessment over lessons 16-18.  No homework.

Science: Students completed lesson 1.6 from our Phase Change unit, where students applied their knowledge of "freedom of movement" in regards to molecules and phase change. The scientific argument for the Rock Transformations unit was due Monday, November 18th. Students CAN come in after school and work with Mrs. Eidem on improving their score on their argument, but the deadline to do so is today, November 25th by 4:00 p.m.

English:  Research was continued. We are trying to get one page a day done if possible on the research topics. Should be through the blue sheet today. We talked about having enough information to start our writing. Keep working on your A.R. points for the second term.

7th Period English: We are reading the "Giver". Chapters 5 and 6 are to be read and questions answered for Tuesday at the beginning of class. No ABC writing this week. Keep working on A.R.

Geography:  Today students took notes over Africa (vocabulary, geography, ethnic groups, arts, and religion). Political and physical maps for Africa are due tomorrow at 4:00. There is a PDF map on Google Classroom to help for work at home. Looking ahead- The maps will be due on Tuesday, November 26th for 50 points. The Africa test will be December 13th.

Math:   Students took the spelling quiz over Module 2 terms and then went over lesson 19.    The assessment over lesson 17-19 will be next Monday, 11/25.  You will need your Chromebook.

Science: Students completed lesson 1.5 from our new Phase Change unit, where students determined which of 3 claims was best supported by evidence. The scientific argument for the Rock Transformations unit was due Monday, November 18th. Students CAN come in after school and work with Mrs. Eidem on improving their score on their argument, but the deadline to do so is Monday, November 25th by 4:00 p.m.

Science: Students completed lesson 1.2 from our new Phase Change unit, which introduced students to phase changes like: condensation, evaporation, melting, and freezing. The scientific argument for the Rock Transformations unit was due Monday, November 18th. Students CAN come in after school and work with Mrs. Eidem on improving their score on their argument, but the deadline to do so is Monday, November 25th by 4:00 p.m.

English:  We critiqued a practice research paper today. Research cites were identified and practiced with. Research was started. Keep working on your A.R. points for the second term.

7th Period English:  Your research paper is due today, November 19th. Utopia definition was discussed. Partner activity work time today. ABC writing this week, letter "L". Keep working on A.R.

Geography:  Today students wrapped up the unit called Material World by comparing and contrasting different families from around the world (Haiti and United States). Looking ahead- We will be starting Africa on Wednesday with creating a physical and political map. The maps will be due on Tuesday, November 26th for 50 points.

Science: Students completed lesson 4.3 from our Rock Transformations unit, which was the science seminar. The scientific argument for this unit has been assigned as homework on Google Classroom and is due Monday, November 18th by 4:00 pm. The test over Rock Transformations will be taken on Monday, November 18th. To aid in studying, there is a Quizlet on Google Classroom and Lesson 2.5 is a practice test. 

English:  We worked with the Scope story about WWI and carrier pigeons. TDA's are being written with a partner using text evidence. Keep working on your A.R. points for the second term.

7th Period English: We worked on our research papers information day 10. Your paper is due on Tuesday, November 19th. Today is the last work day in class. ABC writing this week, letter "K". A.R. reading points have been assigned for second quarter.

The scientific argument for this unit has been assigned as homework on Google Classroom and is due Monday, November 18th. The test over Rock Transformations is planned for Monday, November 18th. To aid in studying, there is a Quizlet on Google Classroom and Lesson 2.5 is a practice test.

Science: Students completed lesson 3.2 from our Rock Transformations unit and learned about subduction and uplift. No homework.

English:  Study Guides were worked on today in class for the test which will be tomorrow on punctuation. All classroom homework is due at the end of the day tomorrow for this unit. Study for the test!! Keep working on your A.R. points for the second term. You should have some reading time in class on Friday.

7th Period English: We worked on our research papers information day 5. How to prepare a work cited page was presented today. ABC writing this week, letter "J". A.R. reading points have been assigned for second quarter.

Geography:  Today wrapped up the comparison of the three different countries. This assignment is due BEFORE the test on Friday. Study guide was handed out on Monday and study help (Quizlet) is on Google Classroom. Looking ahead- We will take the World Religion, Government and Economy test on Friday, November 8th.

English:  We took punctuation notes today on capitalization. Google Classroom Homework over capitalization due tomorrow. Study guides were handed out for the test on Friday. Get at least half of that completed for tomorrow. Keep working on your A.R. points for the second term.

7th Period English: We worked on our research papers information day 4. ABC writing this week, letter "J". A.R. reading points have been assigned for second quarter.

Geography:  Today we took some class time to compare and contrast three different countries. This assignment is due BEFORE the test on Friday. Study guide was handed out on Monday and study help (Quizlet) is on Google Classroom. Looking ahead- We will take the World Religion, Government and Economy test on Friday, November 8th.

Math:   Students took an 11 mult fact quiz learned about Good Guys and Bad Guys to help understand the rules of multiplying and dividing integers.  Complete the worksheet for homework.  

Pre-Algebra:   Students took an 11 mult fact quiz and went over the assessment from Friday.   If time allowed, we moved into lesson 10.

Science: Students completed lesson 2.6 from our Rock Transformations unit, which was a differentiated activity completed in small groups. No homework.

English:  We took quotations and apostrophes notes today. Google Classroom Homework over Quotations. Keep working on your A.R. points for the second term.
