Math:  Students graded lesson 2-1 and then went over adding integers from lesson 2-2.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:   Students graded the AYR? and then went over lesson 2-1 and then covered lesson 2-2.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students took a test over diffusion and osmosis.  No homework.

English:  We took a test over Nouns and Pronouns.
Please read for AR. AR goals are due in 14 days!

Geography:   Today we went over our quizzes and started notes over seasons.  No homework.

Math:  Students went over the show your work quiz and then students had time to work on the Are You Ready on page 69.  Do all problems for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over the Formative Assessment and then students had time to work on the Are You Ready on page .  Do all problems for tomorrow.

Science:  Students watched a video about cell transport and completed a 3-2-1 in their science notebook.  A test is planned for this Wednesday, September 30th.  Study!

English:  
 Students took notes over pronouns in their composition notebook. They had a short worksheet to do as homework. Several students got it done in class. The nouns/pronouns worksheet was due today. There is a test over Nouns and Pronouns on Wednesday. Please study!

Geography:   Today we caught up on some current events from around the world.  No homework.

Math:  Students took a mult fact quiz, went over the FA from yesterday and then either worked on late homework or improved thinking skills on the chromebooks.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students took the Formative Assessment over Chapter 1.  No homework.

Science:  Students learned about diffusion and osmosis and took notes in their science notebook.  A study guide was handed out today.  The next test is planned for Wednesday, September 30th.  Begin studying!

English:  
 Students took notes over nouns and pronouns in their composition notebook. They had a short worksheet to do as homework. Several students got it done in class. The nouns/pronouns worksheet is due on Monday.

Math:  Students took an assessment over solving equations in which they needed to show work.  Students then took a Formative Assessment over lessons 1-9, 1-10 and 1-11.  No homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students finished up 1-10 and then reviewed for the Formative Assessment which is tomorrow.

Science:  Students performed their own experiment to further study osmosis.  No homework.  

English:

Math:  Students were introduced to San Man Dollars and then went over the homework.  Kids then worked with a partner on a worksheet in preparation for the quizzes over lessons 1-9, 1-10 and 1-11 tomorrow.  There will be a "show your work" part and a formative assessment part.  Study for your test!

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over lessons 1-8 and 1-9, we then discussed lesson 1-10.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students analyzed results and drew conclusions from Friday's experiment to answer the question: What will happen to the mass of a potato slice if it is soaked in salt water?  Each lab group worked on designing their own experiment to further study osmosis.  Don't forget to bring any necessary materials you will need to complete your experiment tomorrow!    

English:  
 Students had class time to type their narrative essays. The essay is due today at 4:00pm.

Geography:   Students wrapped up the Map Quest project, compared results, and handed in.  No homework.

Math:  Students took a Mult Fact Quiz, graded the 1-11 homework and then had some time to work on:  page 52:  13-25 and page 62: 42-53.  Complete it for Monday.

Pre-Algebra:   Students took a mult fact quiz,  went over lesson 1-7 and then went over lessons 1-8 and 1-9.  Complete the homework from those lessons for Monday.

Science:  Students performed an experiment to answer the question: What will happen to the mass of a potato slice if it is soaked in salt water?  No homework.

English:  
 Students had class time to type their narrative essays. The essay is due Monday at 4:00pm.

Geography:   Students continued on a Map Quest project that will apply their skills from Parts of a Map unit.  We will have SOME time on Monday to wrap it up.  Homework will be to work on the Map Quest activity if they are far behind in class.  Ask your student about their progress.

Math:  Students took a mult fact quiz, reviewed lesson 1-9 and then went over how to do lesson 1-10.  For homework:  1-9:  6-9, 12, 13, 20 - 23  and 1-10:  8-15.  Be sure to show all work on the 8 - 15.

Pre-Algebra:   Students took a mult fact quiz and graded the lesson 1-7.  We then moved into 1-8.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students finished working on the Cell Model Project.  If a student did not finish he should stay after school to complete his model.  A study guide has been handed out for TOMORROW's test.  Study!

English:  
 Students brainstormed more for their narrative essay. For homework, students need to write their introduction paragraph for their rough draft.

Geography:   Students completed the Parts of a Map Test.  No homework.

Math:  Students were given back the Birth Announcement, went over the formative assessment given on Friday and then discussed lesson 1-9.  NO homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students graded lesson 1-6 and then we jumped into lesson 1-7.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students continued presenting their Cell Analogy Projects.  Students began working on the Cell Model Project, which will be done in class tomorrow as well.  A study guide has been handed out for our upcoming science test.  The test will be Wednesday, September 16th.

English:  
 Students looked at some example narrative essays and started brainstorming for their essays. Students need to finish their brainstorming webs as homework. Webs are due tomorrow.

Geography:   Students worked on a study guide today in class.  Test over Parts of a Map will be Tuesday 9/15.  Study at home tonight.

Math:  Students went over the practice assessment in preparation in for the Formative Assessment that took afterword.  NO homework.

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over lesson 1-5 and then we jumped into lesson 1-6.  No homework.

Science:  Students continued presenting their Cell Analogy Projects.  We finished creating some flashcards to help us study for our next test.  Students were also given directions for our Cell Model Project, which will be done in class next week.  A study guide has been handed out for the next science test.  The test is planned for Wednesday, September 16th.

English:  
 Students looked at their Capitalization/Punctuation test. We discussed what good writing looks like. No homework!

Geography:   Students took the day to catch up on current events from around the world. Test over Parts of a Map will be Tuesday 9/15.

Math:  Students went over lesson 1-7.  We then went over concepts from lesson 1-8.  For tomorrow, complete the practice assessment in preparation in for the Formative Assessment that will be taken tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:   Students went over lesson 1-4 and then we jumped into lesson 1-5.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students continued presenting their Cell Analogy Projects.  We also drew a picture of a bacterial cell in our science notebook.  Students have received a study guide for their next science test.  This test is planned for Wednesday, September 16th.

English:  
  Took their Capitalization/Punctuation test today. Composition notebooks were also due today. No homework!

Geography:   Students handed in their Parts of a Map activity and worked with partners practicing scale and direction. Test over Parts of a Map will be Tuesday 9/15.

Math:  Students turned in the RTGO?, took a practice multiplication fact quiz, went over lessons 1-6 and 1-7.  Complete the homework from lesson 1-7 for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra:   Students took a practice multiplication fact quiz, reviewed types of numbers from lesson 4-7.  We then went over lesson 1-4.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students continued presenting their Cell Analogy Projects.  We also drew a picture of an animal cell and a plant cell in our science notebook.  Students have received a study guide for their next science test.  This test is planned for Wednesday, September 16th.

English:  
  Students review for their test tomorrow. I will be doing a composition notebook check so students need to have all of their assignments done in the notebook. There is a Capitalization/Punctuation test tomorrow. Please study your notes!

Geography:  
 Students continued on a Parts of a Map activity.  This activity will be due on Thursday at the beginning of class- Some may have homework. Test over Parts of a Map will be Tuesday 9/15.

Pre-Algebra:   Students finished up types of numbers from lesson 4-7.  Complete the homework for tomorrow.

Science:  Students began presenting their Cell Analogy Projects.  Students have also received a study guide for their next science test.  This test is planned for Wednesday, September 16th.

English:  
  Students took notes on colons and semicolons in class today. Students have a small colon/semicolon packet as homework. Several students finished the packet in class. The semicolon/colon packet is due Tuesday. The 2nd comma packet was due today. There is a Capitalization/Punctuation Test on Thursday.

Geography:  
 Students started on a Parts of a Map activity.  This activity will be due on Thursday at the beginning of class.  Test over Parts of a Map will be Tuesday 9/15.

Pre-Algebra:   Students turned in the Birth Announcement Project.  We went over lesson 1-5 and reviewed types of numbers from lesson 4-7.  No homework.

Science:  Students were given the period to work on the Cell Analogy Project.  This project is due Tuesday September 8th.  No additional in class work time will be given.  Students may have homework in order to complete their project.

English:  
  Students took notes on commas in class today. Students have a small comma packet as homework. Do not do the End Mark page in the packet. Several students finished the packet in class. The 2nd comma packet is due Tuesday. The 1st comma packet was due today.

Geography:  
  Students continued on Parts of a Map unit and if we had time we watched CNN Student News.  No Homework.
