Science-Did bacteria chart reading activity.

Math- Students graded the homework, reviewed adding and subtracting integers with a worksheet and assigned homwork from the checkpoint 1 on page 110. Do problems 3 - 16.

English - Students began book talks today and took a quiz over "Rikki" and "Three Skeleton Key". We will begin a new story tomorrow. Book talks will continue during the week.

GEOGRAPHY: Active notes (in class) and analogies (due tomorrow).

Science-Family tree activity is due November 29th. Started the disease unit. Get the information you missed from Mr. Sughroue.

Math- Students took a mult fact quiz and then practiced adding and subtracting integers using the Pawzie vs Neggie story. No homework.

English - Students journaled and reviewed for Wednesday's quiz over "Rikki Tikki" and "Three Skeleton Key". We also started notes over simple sentences. Grade sheets were given out in class. Book talk dates have been assigned and begin November 29th.

GEOGRAPHY: Discussed climate and weather. Read p. 52 - 56 in the textbook, started KWL worksheet (continue in class tomorrow).

English - Students discussed the plot and response sheet for "3 Skeleton Key." We also wrote in journals. If front side of response sheet wasn't finished in class, that is homework and is due tomorrow. Be sure to read 15 minutes in your blue dot book and complete the 4 reading strategies. Science-Friday's class is in Media center. Today we learned about genetically modified organisms. CURRENT EVENTS ARE DUE TUESDAY NOVEMBER 21ST.

Math- Students counted calories for the million calorie food drive and discussed integers / absolute value and inequalities. Grades were given to the students two days ago. Zeroes need to be taken care of by next Tuesday.

English - In class students watched "Rikki Tikki Tavi" video to complete Venn diagram. Be sure to read 15 minutes in your blue dot book and complete the 4 reading strategies. Book talk dates have been assigned and begin November 29th.

GEOGRAPHY: Review and quiz over Chapter 2 Lesson 1. Students will then draw a diagram of the water cycle.

Math- Students took a mult fact quiz, discussed the Million Calorie Food Drive and lesson 3-2. I asked students to bring in sales ads from the newspapers for an upcoming project. Students were given a word scramble worksheet with terms from Chapter 3. It will be due Monday.

Science-Thursday and Friday's class is in lab 113. We did a written review of what we have learned in the genetic unit so far, then we started a summative genetic activity, "Genetics with a smile."

Math- Students took a mult fact quiz, reviewed terminating decimals and then worked on a worksheet and the checkpoints in the book.

English - In class students took a quiz over adjectives and adverbs and other parts of speech. They completed a journal activity and learned what was expected for a book talk. Be sure to read for 15 minutes and finish your 4 reading strategies. Book talks begin November 29th.

GEOGRAPHY: Used "Learn Dough" to create models of landforms. Discussed reasons why people settle near various landforms.
