Welcome to the

Science- Practiced using microscopes. Friday's class is in 208.

Math
- Students went over homework from yesterday and worked on problems in groups. No homework.

English - Students journaled and took notes over possessive noun rules. Work on the plural/possessive worksheet for Friday. Be sure to read 15 minutes in your blue dot book tonight and complete each of the four reading strategies on your worksheet.

GEOGRAPHY: In class we began to use lat. & long. to find locations. For homework, students need to bring a news article to class (from newspaper, internet, etc.)

Reading- Students continued the Read for Real curriculum. See your teacher for what your class covered.

Science- Come in and get the notes over living vs. nonliving. Thursday and Friday's class is in science lab 113.

Math
- Students took a mult fact quiz and went over their homework from yesterday. Students are to do 1 - 4 on page xxix for tomorrow.

English - Students journaled and practiced finding singular/plural nouns in an article. Be sure to read 15 minutes in your blue dot book tonight and complete each of the four reading strategies on your worksheet.

GEOGRAPHY: Students split into small groups and measured distance using scale. For homework students were given a map of the Republican River and various questions (Due Thursday).

Reading- Students continued the Read for Real curriculum. See your teacher for what your class covered.

Science- Went over the summative assessment over scientific inquiry. Write up what living things can do that nonliving things can't do. Wednesday's science class is in 208.

Math
- Students went over one more conversion problem dealing with the birth announcement project. The project is due Friday at the beginning of class. Students were also assigned problems 2,3,4,&5 on page xxii in their textbook.

English - Students journaled and took notes over how to make a noun plural. Finish the plural practice sheet tonight. Be sure to read 15 minutes in your blue dot book tonight and complete each of the four reading strategies on your worksheet.

GEOGRAPHY: Students practiced finding distance in an atlas using scale. For homework students were given a copy of a map and a worksheet to find distance.

Reading- Students continued the Read for Real curriculum. See your teacher for what your class covered.

Science- Did the summative assessment over scientific inquiry. Tuesday's class is in the media center.

Math
- Students were given the Birth Announcement Project on Friday. Today we went over the conversions needed for the project. The project is due Friday.

English - Students took spelling pretest #2 and went over the What Are Nouns worksheet. Finish the common/proper noun worksheet for Tuesday. Be sure to read 15 minutes in your blue dot book tonight and complete each of the four reading strategies on your worksheet.

Math
- Students are to bring in brown paper bags for book covers. We then took a tour of the room and introduced the special guests in the room.

GEOGRAPHY: Students discussed the purpose for learning geography. Identified parts of a map and practiced using cardnal directions.
