Science: Learned how air pressure affects breathing.

Math: Students discussed the term reciprocal and went over yesterday's quiz. Updated grades were posted. Students are to complete the "Are You Ready" problems, 1 - 32 on page 211 for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra: Students went over a powerpoint dealing with misleading data. We then went over the quizzes we have taken. No homework.

English: Spelling pre-test. Spelling journal due Wednesday. Begin poetry unit! Bring in CD case!! Write "Emotion is a Color" poems.

Geography: Chapter 6-Mexico! Map Work. Pol/Phy Maps due Friday. Land For Sale Activity was due Friday-Students are to hand in what they got done in class for a grade. Homework: None

Math: Students took a Grande Soft Taco for a grade, went over 7-8, discussed 7-10 and have homework from that lesson due Monday. We will have a quiz over lessons 7-6 - 7-10 on Monday.

Pre-Algebra: Students went over lesson 4-9 and reviewed similar problems. Ask your student if he/she had homework. We will have a quiz over the Pythagorean Theorem on Monday.

English: Celebrate our fantastic writing assessments! Watch Book Fair video, play SmartMouth.

Geography: Chapter 5-CANADA. Went over the Geography test and current grades. Land for Sale activity is due today by 4 pm. Homework: No homework.

Math: Students discussed the word tendency and discussed 7-6 and 7-7. Students received a new homework sheet that has what problems they need to complete. Complete the homework from those lessons for tomorrow.

Science: Finished the stations packet and watched 2 videos about heart surgery. If you have internet access, you can get view these on our science Moodle site.

Math: Students turned in the 7-4 homework, went over the vocab word "quartile", discussed the Orleans-Hanna test (which is tomorrow) and discovered what a "Box-and-Whisker" plot was. Ask your student if they have homework.

Pre-Algebra: Students took the quiz over lessons 4-1 - 4-6. Tomorrow we will take the Orleans-Hanna test.

English: One-on-one conferencing with students pertaining to their practice district writing assessments.

Science: External observation of animals.

Math: Students looked a the word compatible, looked at the HSS packet and had grades updated. We then looked at lesson 3-8 and students are to have that homework done for tomorrow.

Pre-Algebra: Students went over the quiz from 11-1 and 11-2 and covered 11-3. Complete the homework for tomorrow.

English: Two new vocab words: oxymoron and bask. Write a letter to yourself including the following: 5 realistic goals (to be accomplished by Jan. 1, 2012), what might you possibly want to do once you graduate high school, and what do you see yourself doing as a possible career. Make sure it is a page in length! Start off the year strong by getting homework done! :)
