Math:   Students went over lessons 21 & 22.  Complete the problem set from lesson 22 for Monday. They will have a test on Monday over lessons 17, 18, 19, 21 & 22.

Pre-Algebra:    Students reviewed lessons 1 - 6. They will have a test on Monday over lessons 1 - 6.

Science:  Students worked on the Cell Cycle Animation project. If your project is not complete, you will be given time next week (Thursday and Friday) to finish in class. There will be a test over the Cell Cycle next Friday (December 7th). Study materials can be found on Google Classroom.

English:  Students worked on their people research guide. The culture research guide is due today. The culture research guide is tomorrow. AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Students took a quiz over Ch. 6-10. Please read Ch 11 & 12 for homework. First project is due December 7th. AR is due on December 17th.

Geography:   Today we caught up on current events from around the world. Those that were not done with their map had the period to get finished. The maps are due today for 50 points. If they don't get the map finished in this time period they may check out a textbook and work on it at home. I also put the atlas map on Google Classroom for extra assistance. Ask your student if they are done with their map; late points will be taken off.

Math:   Students took a mult fact quiz and then went over Lesson 19. Homework will be #'s 1and 3 on the problem set. They will have a test on Monday over lessons 17, 18, 19, 21 & 22.

Science:   Students learned about the Cell Cycle Animation project. Bring materials tomorrow so you can get all of your pictures taken. There will be a test over the Cell Cycle next Friday (December 7th). Study materials can be found on Google Classroom.

English:  Students worked on their culture research guide. The geography research guide is due Thursday. AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Students took a quiz over Ch. 1-5 in The Giver. Homework is to read Ch. 6-8 in The Giver. First project is due December 7th. AR is due on December 17th.

Geography:   Today we continued the Africa unit with work on the physical side of the map. The maps are due on Friday for 50 points. They will have class time Mon-Wed. Math:   Students continued going over Lesson 17 Family  Vacation Worksheet. Finish the Worksheet for homework.

Pre-Algebra:    Students reviewed lesson 3, and then jumped right into lesson 4.  For homework students will be doing the problem set for Lesson 3. 

Science:   Students completed a Cell Cycle Simulation using simple materials like pipe cleaner and string. Complete the worksheet and turn it in if you didn't do so in class. Check Infinite Campus to see if you turned it in (a blank score means it was not turned in today).

English:  Students worked on their geography research guide. These are due Thursday. AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Students learned about Giver projects. Homework is to read Ch. 4-5. in The Giver. There is a quiz over Ch. 1-5 on Wednesday. AR is due on December 17th.

Pre-Algebra:    Students went over the homework from lesson 1 and finished lesson 2.  We maybe jumped into lesson 3, time permitting. Students will have homework.  

Science:   Students learned about the Cell Life Cycle (mitosis) and took some notes. No homework.

English:  Students learned about types of sources. No homework! AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Students presented their utopias. Read Ch. 1-3 in The Giver. There is a quiz over Ch. 1-5 on Wednesday. AR is due on December 17th.

Geography:   Today we started the Africa unit. Maps were introduced and assigned today. The maps are due on Friday for 50 points. They will have class time Mon-Wed. Geography:   Today we continued to work on Material World. We will look at families from 12 countries to compare and contrast demographics, governments, and material possessions. They will need these note packets every day along with their climate map. This packet will be taken for a 50 point test grade at the completion of the unit- 11/20. They are given class time to work on it every day. Please encourage them to use their time wisely in class and follow along.

Math:   Students took an 11 fact quiz and then reviewed lessons 11 - 13 and jumped into Lesson 14.  Complete #1 on page 83 for tomorrow.  An assessment over Lessons 11 - 16 will be Tuesday, November 20.  

Pre-Algebra:    Students finished up Lesson 8.  Students may have homework.  

Science:   Students learned about DNA mutations and we discussed what the DNA to Protein packet taught us. There will be a test over DNA tomorrow, November 16th. Study using the practice test on Google Classroom or the Quizlet linked on Google Classroom.

English:  Students turned in their Sherlock Holmes worksheet. We started our debates. No homework! AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Students learned about Utopias and started creating their own. Utopias will be presented on Monday. Final drafts of research papers are due on Friday, November 16th. "J" Is due on Friday. AR is due on December 17th.

Math:   Students went over how to convert decimals to fractions, and fractions to decimals. Students will have problem set 13 numbers one and two for homework due on Thursday.

Pre-Algebra:    Students went over Lesson 7 and moved into lesson 8.  Students may have homework.  

Science:   Students listened to a presentation by Dr. Kim Carlson from UNK about GMOs. There will be a test over DNA this Friday, November 16th. Study using the practice test on Google Classroom or the Quizlet linked on Google Classroom.

English:  Students did an activity that went along with Sherlock Holmes. No homework! AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Rough draft of papers are due on today at the beginning of class. Students did a peer review of papers. Final drafts are due on Friday, November 16th. There are no more workdays for typing. AR is due on December 17th.

Science:   Students completed the "DNA to Protein" packet in class. Then students worked on a DNA model to better understand the structure of DNA. There will be a test over DNA this Friday, November 16th. Study using the practice test on Google Classroom or the Quizlet linked on Google Classroom.

English:  Students read a Sherlock Holmes play. No homework! AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Today students worked on their rough drafts of their research paper. Rough draft of papers are due on Tuesday at the beginning of class. Final drafts are due on Friday, November 16th. AR is due on December 17th.

Science:   Students completed another DNA extraction on an item of their own choosing. The "DNA to Protein" packet will be completed Monday in class and is not homework. There will be a test over DNA next Friday, November 16th. Study using the practice test on Google Classroom.

English:  Students took their capitalization/punctuation test. AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Today students worked on their rough drafts of their research paper. Rough draft of papers are due on Tuesday at the beginning of class. Final drafts are due on Friday, November 16th. AR is due on December 17th.

Geography:   Today students completed an assessment over world religion, government, and economy. Students were asked to turn in their economic comparison worksheets today. We finished up the class period by looking at some current events. Have a great weekend!

Math:   Today, students took the Module 2 topic A subtracting assessment.  There is an online practice activity on Google Classroom students need to complete by Friday.  Students will have a spelling quiz on Friday.

Pre-Algebra:    Students continued with Lesson 6.  Students may have homework.  Students also received the Module 2 vocabulary terms.  There is an online practice activity students need to complete by Friday.  Students will have a spelling quiz on Friday.

Science:   Students completed a DNA extraction on a strawberry in the lab today. There is a Google Doc from this lab that needs to be turned, but this is not due until tomorrow (end of class). The "DNA to Protein" packet will be completed tomorrow in class and is not homework. There will be a test over DNA next Friday, November 16th. Study using the practice test on Google Classroom. Don't forget to bring a fruit/vegetable tomorrow so you can do our next DNA extraction lab!

English:  Students reviewed for their capitalization/punctuation test. The test is tomorrow. AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Today we learned about the outline and works cited page for their research paper. Research guides are due today. Rough draft of papers are due on Monday. AR is due on December 17th.

Geography:   Students had time to work on the Economic Comparison activity today. Most were able to finish in class, but some may have to take it home for homework. Please discuss this with your student. It is due before the test on Friday or late points will be taken off. They will be able to use this, for a very small portion, of the test. A study guide was handed out (we went over the correct answers today in class) and there is a Quizlet review on Google Classroom. The study guide is not graded. Study tonight at home!

Geography:   Today we continued to take some notes; world economic types. We also started an economic comparison activity that is due before the test (all the information is on google classroom). The next test will be Nov 9th over world religion, government, economy. A study guide was handed out a Quizlet review is on Google Classroom. The study guide is not graded. Study! Chromebooks will be needed Wednesday-Friday! Please have them charged and ready to go!

Science:   Students finished their lab write-up for Osmosis Lab #2. This lab report needs to be turned in by tonight 9 pm so late points won't be deducted. There will be an Osmosis Quiz on Tuesday, November 6th. Use Osmosis Practice #1, #2, and #3 on Google Classroom to prepare for the quiz.

English:  Students learned about commas. Students have a google classroom assignment that most got done in class. AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Today we learned about the research paper, and we started researching. "I" is due today. AR is due on December 17th.

Geography:   Today we started notes over world religion. The next test will be Nov 9th over world religion, government, economy. A study guide will be handed out Monday. No homework tonight.

Science:   Students performed Osmosis Lab #2 and tested an independent variable of their own choosing. You will be given time tomorrow in class to finish this lab report. Osmosis Lab #1, however, needs to be turned in by tonight 9 pm so late points won't be deducted. There will be an Osmosis Quiz on Tuesday, November 6th. Use Osmosis Practice #1 and #2 on Google Classroom to prepare for the quiz.

English:  Students learned about capitalization. Students have a google classroom assignment that most got done in class. AR is due on December 17th.

7th Period English:  Today we learned about the research paper. "I" is due on Friday. AR is due on December 17th.

Geography:   Today we took the quiz over Population and Culture. Students took a pre-test over the next unit that was not graded. No homework tonight.
