Math- Students turned in their Holiday Shopping Spree packet and figured how many presents are given in the 12 days of Christmas.

English - Students handed in their journals and practiced writing simple sentence formulas. A quiz over the formulas will be given tomorrow. Book points need to be finished by Thursday the 21st.

GEOGRAPHY: Went over chapter 2 tests, landform scavenger hunt.

Science- We will be in lab 113 Tuesday and Wednesday. Went over the answers to the chart reading activity to try and figure out how the people got food poisoning. December science current is due Tuesday 19th. Vaccine skits were planned today and we will do these skits Tuesday. KPS DISEASE TEST IS THURSDAY-received the written review for this test today.

Math- Students had one last day to work on the project. The final packet (project) will be due Tomorrow.

Math- Students had time to work on the project. The final packet (project) will be due Tuesday.

Science-Thursday and Friday's class is in lab 113. We did a written review of what we have learned in the genetic unit so far, then we started a summative genetic activity, "Genetics with a smile."

Math- Students took a mult fact quiz, reviewed terminating decimals and then worked on a worksheet and the checkpoints in the book.

English - In class students took a quiz over adjectives and adverbs and other parts of speech. They completed a journal activity and learned what was expected for a book talk. Be sure to read for 15 minutes and finish your 4 reading strategies. Book talks begin November 29th.

GEOGRAPHY: Used "Learn Dough" to create models of landforms. Discussed reasons why people settle near various landforms.

Science- Tomorrow's activity is in lab 113. Today we did a salt water activity with potatoes that taught us about osmosis.
Math
- Students went over lessons 1-7 and 1-8 and did the problem solving practice on page 35. We will have a test on Thursday over chapter 1.

English - In class students journaled and shared their colorful verb definitions with their group. We also began making the verbs into pictowords for the wordwall. Tonight, be sure to read for 15 minutes and complete the 4 reading strategies.

GEOGRAPHY: Students took info from survey and put it on a bar graph (rough draft). For homework, student must make a final draft of bar graph, and write 5 questions that can be answered by the bar graph.

English - In class students journaled and worked on editing and revising their narrative writing on a personal experience that taught them something. A final copy is due on Monday. Be sure to read over the long, 4 day weekend.

GEOGRAPHY: Students worked in large and small group settings to analyze charts and graphs. For homework students must decide on a question to ask for their survey.

English - In class students journaled and began writing their rough draft for their narrative writing on a personal experience that taught you something. Bring a completed rough draft to class on Wednesday.

GEOGRAPHY: Students split into small groups and developed skits for geography vocabulary words. Students then used an atlas to answer questions about "special purpose maps."

Science- Friday's class is in 113. Students worked on their "Cell analogies". This project will further our understanding of the cell part and function and we will continue this the rest of the week.

Math
